They were great together on Radio 2 over Christmas. We caught quite a bit of it in the car. I'm quite glad Dawn wasn't involved in the Downton spoof... she'd only have played the cook with her usual West Country accent.

Not everything they did in it was great, but some of it was very well done like the looks of HORROR when Victoria Wood called it the Lounge and the music coming in to signal the end of the scene followed by many facial expressions. Oh and my favourite of all, ''And how do we address you?'' ''DAME MAGGIE SMITH''.

Plus of course they did do the 3 radio shows at Christmas/New Year.
The only thing I saw her on was a VT during the Let's Dance show, cheering on Ade Edmondson. She didn't seem to be on anything during the actual night at all. Thinking about it there I wondered if it could be due to Lenny Henry having such a big presenting role this year, but then Dawn's always stressed how well they still get on in every interview I've seen since they split up so it's probably not that

I don't really DO TV drama. And it never appealed initially, so by the time it had started building to this must-see programme, I'd already missed a few episodes and just couldn't be bothered to pick it up.

It might be because I have a killing hangover but I thought that spoof was hilarious!

I love the panic in the kitchen whenever they have to prepare something!

I lasted THREE SECONDS of that, where she said "that was KATY of THE PERRY". I mean fuck off Fearne. Actually fuck off. Why be so rubbish? Why be so rubbish in every way? WHY?

Of course it is no point doing set visits on the radio, because you can't see them. Who did she interview? I hope Maggie Smith refused, and then popped into the makeup van to have a bitch with Julian Fellowes about what a ghastly creature Fearne is.

I lasted up to the next song. She was going on about leaving her mark on set by drawing on an egg and hoping they won't notice and it will get filmed and it will ROFL O' Clock.

She was on Chris Moyles before Christmas moaning about Debra Stephenson's impression of her going on about how "people just look at what I did on Diggit and still think I present like that" Err……

Did she actually use the phrase 'ROFL O'clock'?

I don't dare listen for fear of entering a rage blackout.

It's taken me long enough. I have just watched the whole thing. Fucking amazing. I now want a Downton Abbey t-shirt and a Countess Dowager on a swivel chair action figure for my birthday.

Finally got around to watching this (hey this way i don't have to wait for season 2) and now i know who that person in PercyPig's avatar is. i thought it was great fun but it's all just a big soap opera with fancy clothes and an interesting time period.

Loved the casting especially Mary who i thought looked striking, Sybil who has a very beautiful voice and the chauffeur who was hot. Some moments made me cringe especially in the finale, some things were very predictable also some of the downstairs character i felt were a bit flat, either too good (Bates, Anna) or a step away from rolling their mustache and cackling (Thomas, O'Bryan).

Now i can't decide if i want to watch season 2 now or wait until it's over...
