I'm not normally one for slagging off the big comics because even if they are not my thing i can see that they're quite good at what they do or are talented in some way, but i see no redeeming features in this man AT ALL. He just goes up on stage and does a dreadful everyman Professional Scouser schtick.
I've just seen an ad for his dvd. Apparently it is the fastest selling debut stand up dvd of all time, yet the one line they showed in the ad was "I've never seen a woman with hairy ears... and i've been to St Helens".
????! I also saw his Live at the Apollo set a few weeks ago and the WHOLE THING was just some extended anecdote about his friends coming to see him at a small venue, and then a big venue. The only thing that might possibly have been a joke was the bit where he had to tell a venue boss that one of his friends was dying, so he could get more free tickets. L-O-fucking-L

he's so unbelievably SMUG, with his SHITE little UNFUNNY stories about NOTHING, strolling around the stage as if he fucking OWNS IT... and to top it off he has the most CRINGEWORTHY, EXAGGERATED scouse accent on the fucking PLANET. UGH.
