I'm not sure of my exact weight but it's usually around 10 stone 3lbs (64.9kg) and my height is 5'5.5" and am a size 10.

    My goal is to reach 9 stone 7lbs (60.3kg) and/or a proper size 8.

And get fit enough to run a 10K in May.

    Height: 5'10 ish

    Currently: 162 pounds = 11 stone 8 pounds

I started to actively workout on a regular basis last Summer, my peak weight was around 180 pounds last May and I was 155 until the holidays came along

I guess my goal is to basically gain some more muscle mass and tone up a bit, but still to carry a 'lean' look. Kept up with my new years resolution of working out 5-6 days a week, so far

I've GONE UP a stone in the last year, which I'm not happy with and I'm now properly overweight in BMI terms as opposed to still being in the "ok" category. Also, my ongoing stomach problems apparently warrant the need for weight loss according to my doctor so I'm having to knuckle down. I just can't seem to get into exercise, but I've started this week eating better again. We'll see how long it lasts...

5 ft. 6 (I know, it's rubbish), and 10st 11lbs which is the heaviest I've ever been. I know we're only a week in, but I think I'm doing well this year so far! I'm not snacking after dinner at all. I can see a difference there as I'm going to bed hungry. That makes me feel like a fat bastard, but I guess quelling that hunger would that even more so.

I know MOST of my problem is booze. I eat pretty healthily all in all, though I need to control my portions a bit better, which I am trying to address (again for the health issues- bigger meals are not good for my stomach illness, it's better to eat little and often, though they say that generally nowadays I suppose) but it's the beer that gets me. I need to cut down that ANYWAY but I'm going to have to get back in the habit of vodka/gin and diet tonic rather than pints, which I love just a bit too much...

Snap. I eat healthy 80% of the time but my portions can be rather large, combined with binge drinking on wine or beer. Gin and tonic really is where I should head this year.

Anyhoo I don't know about stones but I'm clocking in at 84kg and 6 ft 2, within the healthy BMI range but certainly not as thin as I'd like. Though this year is more about building more muscle and getting more toned. I'm aiming for 3 gym sessions a week (4 on a good week) and at least one evening run on a day that I'm not at the gym.

I wish I loved exercise and could aim for 3-4 gym sessions a week. I had a period for about 8 months a few years back where I got into that groove and I looked fucking brilliant.

Long gone now, though. I hate exercise for the most part. I know it's a necessary evil, though...

See I don't enjoy most exercise but I oddly like the gym, especially cardio. Chuck an iPod in and I'm happy as. It's just the getting to and from and the whole effort of actually getting into the mindset to attend that I hate.

I certainly don't LIKE exercising but it really becomes less of a chore once you get in the routine...

Is there a reason you stopped going apart from not liking exercise? As you said you were aware that you looked brilliant so I always imaged this would be your carrot to keep you going?

When I think of wanting to bulk up I always think getting to the noticeable point of change to be the hardest but once you’ve got there and notice it then you’d never want to slip… Am I wrong?

6'1" and 13st 8 which I think, devastatingly puts me in the overweight bracket for the first time in my life. I've actually been a member of my uni gym since September but stopped going in October. I'd really like to start going back again maybe 3 times a week plus a swim.

I never used to be the slightest bit self concious about my weight or my body but in the last few months the belly has started showing through clothes which is a bit rubbish. Also I would never ever be topless in front of my flatmates or anything like that which I never used to care about.

I'll be trying to get a workable, effective routine sorted when I'm back next week without a doubt

It's very easy to say that but much harder to put into practice if, like me, you're not really a natural exerciser...

Tomorrow is the first time I'm going to weigh myself since Christmas. I've had too much rubbish food at home to continue eating before now to make it worthwhile.

I'm quite prepared for it to be HORRIFIC, but I figure the only way is down

After new year, GET RID of the rubbish food - take it to the office, give it to relatives, give it to the homeless.

That's what I've done but it is a tremendous waste of money...I really struggle doing it. Vie kept a big bag of chocolate, just hidden it- though chocolate really isn't that much of a concern to me anyway...

Could someone convert 85kg to stones? I'm guessing around the 14 mark? And height 6ft 2

Is it too late to get in on this? I just weighed myself (I try not to bother) and apparently I'm 10st 13lbs at the moment - which by my UNSCIENTIFIC calculations means I've put on at least a stone and a half in the past year Oh and I'm 5'6".

I think the weight gain is mainly just down to being inactive, so I'm trying to get into an exercise routine at the moment (gym on Monday and Fridays, and swimming on Wednesdays) as well as a few changes to my diet. I also have exercise-induced asthma so I'm REALLY having to start slow with it all, which is frustrating

    13 stone 8 pounds, 5'10"

This year I'm actually serious about losing weight, so I will need/definitely value all the encouragement I can get. Initially, I didn't want to post my STATS, but I realise that if I am going to do this, I have to be honest with myself about my weight.

Feel free to ABUSE me if I let the gym routine slide. It seems to be all I respond to.

Given that I probably have the highest BMI of the Fir Club, I'd have to be INSANE!

Actually give me a day or so, I want to make that first post a little more... something.

I think you should put it on. If it's SHAMEFUL it might SHAME you into DOING something about it. There's NO JUDGMENT HERE

That is the whole point, I don't agree with fat shaming and it has the opposite affect on me anyway. I spent most of 2010 in therapy in relation to my weight and eating disorders and I am not about to un-do the positive effect it has had on me by feeling 'shamed' into doing something about my weight. Clearly I am very overweight, my agreed goal last year within my therapy groups was to control my eating so I maintained a weight and didn't gain. Now I want to lose weight and feel I am in a better place to do it. It would be nice to have the support, but if it comes with guilt, judgement and shaming then no thanks. Maybe in the future I will feel comfortable enough to disclose my starting weight, but at the minute I don't.

OMG! I have the (second) highest BMI of us all. I just hope it motivates me more.

I have been vaguely weighing myself in the mornings and I'm a couple of pounds lighter than that, but I will wait until Monday before giving my OFFICIAL weigh-in I think.

Doesn't really matter, though you're lightest first thing in the morning due to natural overnight dehydration.

The key thing is to make sure you weigh yourself at the same time each day you do it.

I think my first goal weight shall be 12 stone. Incrementally is best, no?

I'm been quite good too. Usually, I've never managed to use a gym membership more than twice, but I've been 3 days out of 3 so far - and I'm planning to go tonight.
