Anyways, my weigh day is a Monday. I had flu last week so this week is my first proper week. Its going ok so far.
Shut up and let me see your jazz hands....
Well, I lost 8lbs last week, have my next weigh in on Monday.
Shut up and let me see your jazz hands....
How are you guys losing EIGHT lbs per week? You must not be eating ANYTHING..
Sheena, did you join Weight Watchers? I did last week and have already shed a considerable amount (though that's probably just first week luck where most people lose shitloads then far less from the second week onwards). The new Propoints system is fucking great and you rarely feel hungry which is something I loathed about new eating plans.
If it's not too late to join, jot me down for this:
I'm 6ft7" tall and 17st 10lbs (useless fact: exactly the same stats as Peter Jones from Dragon's Den I believe) with the hope of getting down to 15st 7lbs by the summer. Since starting a new job in October I've gained a stone which is so infuriating because I was on a role before that (having lost several stones since 2009). I intend to join work's gym on Monday - like Sheena, exercise bores me senseless but if done in small doses more frequently it may be more manageable. Also, alcohol is a massive factor for me in that I love wine at the weekends (and sometimes during the week) along with cider but now that I see how much empty calories are in them I'm restricting myself to vodka and diet tonic.

Ooh I'm happy! I now weigh 147lbs, so I've lost 4lbs since the beginning of the year.
I don't know, nor care if it's slow, but it's going in the right direction!
Yesterday I weighed 74.6kg which is 11 stone 7 in english money.
I am well happy, plus my pectorals are looking more defined than not. Go me, just a little more belly to shift and I'll be happy.
Take your nose off my keyboard.
Weighed myself today and another 3lbs off, 11lbs off for me now!
Shut up and let me see your jazz hands....
2lb back off this week loves, so down to 14 st 9
It's been too long, it's been too long...
Oh I missed this... I have totally been on it. Started the year at 11'6. Now 11'1. I don't really wanna lose anymore weight, just staying healthy-ish...
Lost another pound!I didn't do so well this week food and gym-wise, but I'm happy to be going down!
I will sort an update over the next day or so, but I've lost 4 pounds since my last weigh in, down to 14st 2. Nice
You are a depraved bird of hate, get out of my sight!
Had a really bad week last week, so only lost 3/4 lbs but it has taken me down to 12 lbs lost. Am on track to be down to a stone by Monday though!
Shut up and let me see your jazz hands....
1lb off this week too so still going well but the combination of a four course meal out last night and feeling PRETTY SHIT with a cold isn't going to help me this week, I don't think![]()
It's been too long, it's been too long...
OK, I may as well join this.
I'm 6' and I weigh 77.6kg today (12 stone 3 pounds), BMI 23.2
I definitely want to go below 12 stone, but the aim overall is to get to 73kg (11 stone 6 pounds) if I can.
Didn't really lose anything this week. Had a terrible week though, so will be getting back ON IT tonight! *dies*
Third week in a row without losing anything substantial. I seem stuck on 145lbs. I had a really good week as well. I'm still half a stone lighter than I was at the beginning of the year, so I'm thankful for that. But I'd quite like to see my efforts rewarded a bit more.
*starves self*
I have now lost 15 lbs! Woo!
Shut up and let me see your jazz hands....
I'm in a lull. Still getting to the gym but need to mix things up workout wise as I think I've hit a rut as far as results go.
I need a gym partner whose reasonably experiencedSomeone who knows which exercises will get me in better shape
Currently 158 pounds, only a few heavier than I was at my slimmest but I just don't feel as IN SHAPE as before, need to amp up the workouts and am rather motivated to eat healthier
I lost another lb! I'm officially on half a stone now. WoooOOOOoooOOOpp!!
I've just started to hopefully build up my muscles, so I may well put some back on as muscle weighs more than fat.
17st 4lbs now, still a bit off my target of 15st 12lbs but I'm positive I'll get there in the end! I gained half a lb at Weight Watchers this week but since January I've been gyming it at least four times a week (including some light weight lifting) so perhaps some of it is muscle.. I'd like to think so anyway!
Hope everyone else is doing alright with their targets.
I've not done ANYTHING really for the last few weeks but have maintained at 14 st 7. Need to knuckle down to get half a stone or so off and I'll be happy...
It's been too long, it's been too long...
I'm down to 140lbs now! I was last Monday anyway. I meant to weigh myself today but forgot. My weight loss has slowed down so much since the beginning of the year, but I think that's normal. I don't really want to get any lower than this now anyway as 10st I think is really quite the optimum weight for me. Plus I'd like to start building on my muscles now and working on my tummy flab.![]()

Fuck it. I jinxed it. Weighed myself this morning and was back up to 143.![]()
I have put on 9lb's since I last weighed myself and gone up 1 dress size! As of Monday morning FIT, FIT, FIT is the way to go!
Have you started your fitness regime, Rita? I'm in the 16s now so hopefully only another stone or so to go.
I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THIS THREAD.
Okay, so in March just before I went away I was apparently 143lbs. I'm now 138. I'm surprised really. I knew I lost some weight while I was away because we were doing some form of exercise nearly every day, and were eating on a budget (so didn't have much in the way of snacks). I've been back two months now and been unemployed (and eating like a HOUSE) so I thought I'd put it all back on in all honesty. I have gone back to the gym though, so that's obviously helped.
I love how these threads invariably die an absolute death around mid-February. EVERY YEAR.
Indeed. It's also typical that when I'm trying to lose weight I seem to hit a wall, yet when I stop trying altogether I go past it!
STOP TRYING FOLKS!

Are personal trainers worth the money or do they really just spell out the obvious? I want one to show me how to show me how to do all the free weights, it gets so dull using the machine-weights that you start to wonder if they're even doing anything.
Reflected onto the wet pavement, can you see what I see?
That was the beginning of last year, just weighed myself and I'm now 150lbs, so that's what, pretty much exactly the same?... Oh well. This year I'll lose weight FOR REALS!Tischlampe
Height 5'6"
Starting Weight 10 stone 11 pounds BMI 24.29
Currently 10 stone 11 pounds BMI 24.29![]()
Just back from the gym: about 1 hour doing weights (arms and legs); and then 15 minutes running at 12.9 km per hour. Then I had one of those protein shakes that I'm never sure is really worth my while, but since I felt a wee bit light-headed thought was a good idea.

34 lengths swimming: 30 front-crawl and 4 breast-stroke when people were blocking the stairs I usually get out from.
