It looks tiny compared to recent years. I quite like smaller stages though, especially when there's so few people allowed on stage.

I hated the huge stage in Denmark in 2001. This looks great.
What's confusing? We just find the heart of the prison and the dragon who speaks without walls, and we're home free. Simple.
I like the stage, I've always wanted someone to go for a big video ring like that. It does look small, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, let's see how the cameras work with it.
Why should I care what they say?

I hope the bit next to the stage is the artists area for once they've performed and are awaiting the results.
That'd mean Sara Lumholdt is quite literally in spitting distance from Marie when she announces she's come 5th.
Song reports from SchlagerProfilerna are coming in...
Dilba - 'Cool, catchy dance-pop that shares a rather obvious resemblance with The Attic's 'The Arrival. One of the best openings ever! Although we don't know how it'll work on Saturday.'
Swingfly - 'Not to our usual tastes but this is an example of this genre at its finest. The verses are rapped and the chorus is sung.'
Jenny - 'Do you remember her song last year? This is the complete opposite of that, last year was cool, icy and introverted. This year the song is 'supercatchy schlager' that is basically an undiscovered ABBA classic that'll be played in every club during the MF season. Ronny cries with joy and says: 'This will be the best song this year.'
Jonas - 'You've already heard this as the webjoker and it doesn't feel as strong as everything that comes before it. We need to see this on-stage to see how it'll work.'
Le Kid - 'Supper-happy pop music with two choruses, irresistibly catchy and a really happy song.'
Rasmus - 'Hints of 'Fairytale in here and again a very upbeat and positive song. Definitely better than Jonas.'
Pernilla - 'A very sweet song that we can see being played in P4 a lot but it's very safe and you'll probably skip it if it comes on, on iTunes. AC maximum for her.'
Danny - 'A mixture of Guetta, Rihanna and RedOne and it definitely has the potential to go all the way and win this heat.'

Yeah, it looks like it'll be a fairly uptempo semi. Dilba, Danny, Le Kid and Jenny most of all. Obviously it'll mean they'll cancel each other out again.
As I said, it wouldn't surprise if Christer actually handed us one of the best MF years as a farewell.
Tobbe Ek isn't too impressed with Dilba and reckons Danny's entry might be a bit too samey and clubby. But OH WELL.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
If those early comments are to be believed (and I'm not sure I do) then this year's first semi will be of similar quality to 2005 and 2009.
I'll believe it when I see it though
You are a depraved bird of hate, get out of my sight!
Jenny and LeKid reviews sound amazing. Bring it on!!
I can't wait to hear fragments myself.

Which Swedish city should host Eurovision in 2012?

Seems VERY promising! I'm sure I'll love Jenny and won't be able to get Le Kid out of my head! Looking forward to Dilba as well but I'm interested as to why they have their doubts over whether it could work...
Also, from the description of Danny's song, if he didn't have his fans to vote him through, I'd almost be worried that he could go the same way as "Manipulated" last year. I've seen comments like it being "too cool" and the chorus just being the title over and over again.
Those reviews sound very promising, but I remember having my hopes cruelly raised by them in the past. But I will already declare that I really want Jenny to make the final, I think she'll have her work cut out though.

Next question: when the snippets come out, can I resist the urge to listen to them in order keep up the suspense for Saturday?

I'll wait and see whether Jenny's song is all that as they say, I hope so, but she does have a job on her hands to top A Place To Stay,
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
It's going to be even harder to resist the snippets this year, since clips of the rehearsals are going up tomorrow apparently!
The only way I won't hear those fragments will be when I won't be able to get near a computer Friday. I'm just way too curious.

I don't think Gotland's a particularly good idea, D5K![]()

This all sounds very jolly, though I'd temper enthusiasm slightly based on the ridiculous hyperbole some of these commentators have come out with in the past...![]()
Dilba looked like she'd had a hard life 15 years ago (according to those videos), let alone now![]()
Yeah, schlagerprofilerna tend to go overboard with their reactions. But I guess they're just quite EXCITABLE.
Tobbe Ek was less taken with the new songs yet Anders Nunstedt also thinks it's a rather close, good semi-final and there's a number of dancier songs which will need a good stageshow.

Oh dear...well I wasn't familiar with schlagerprofilerna so I've sort of taken these reviews at face value, but I suppose if they're anything like Scandipop then they'll be very good at overselling...
I mean they said 'Killing Me Tenderly' had the best chorus they've ever heard in the contest, so yeah, you shouldn't take everything at face value.![]()

They also said 'Moving On' was the best MF ballad ever, and I'm sorry VoR but JUST NO.
Sorry Suomi but JUST NO.

The only reason the Moving On entry didn't win was because the singer was so overweight
I didn't think, I just posted
Ner, it didn't win because it was up against the KEYCHANGE to end all KEYCHANGES.

I'm going to spoiler the rehearsal pictures as I'm sure some people would rather just watch things unfold on Saturday...
Spoiler:
The odds now are as follows:
Danny Saucedo - 1/2
Jenny Silver 2/1
Dilba - 3/1
Jonas Matsson - 3/1
Pernilla Andersson - 3/1
Le Kid - 4/1
Swingfly - 8/1
Rasmus Viberg - 9/1
In just over three hours time (8PM UK-time!) you can watch 1 minute clips of the live rehearsals HERE, it's live though and it won't be uploaded to watch later due to the rules of the competition.

I can't WAIT for Dilba, Jenny Silver, Le Kid and Danny. Literally beside myself.
The Jenny Silver performance looks like it's going to be textbook MF stuff.
HURRAH
