Not very surprising. I really hope Popular will be much better in full.
I hope Eric isn't planning on wearing a hat for his performance.

What's confusing? We just find the heart of the prison and the dragon who speaks without walls, and we're home free. Simple.
This is another very hard one to call. Obviously apart from Eric who is sailing through to the final. But I find it really hard to pick another song that will qualify directly for the final. As well as that, I can see them all at least making Andra Chansen. It's wide open.
I have to say though, I was expecting much more support in Sweden for Sara Varga. Although I suppose she's not nearly as well known as Pernilla Andersson and she could only make AC.
Eric looks a bit feverish in that fragment, but the song has grown on me. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the full version will great.

I'm actually genuinely excited for the release of the Eric and Shirley tracks in 12 hours on a par with the release of Karma Karma![]()
I see Linda Sundblad has taken some lyrical inspiration from Andrea THE BEAST Burke.

Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Shirley and Eric both very disappointing in full studio form.

Oh no. Eric keeps rhyming words with themselves. I hate that.
And worse still, he rhymes "possibo" with "possibo".

Going on studio versions, Eric really is on a totally different level.
Shirley's song is fine I suppose. SO disappointing though. It's SUCH a lifeless production. I think it'll grow but I think it's a really weird decision to give it such an understated production. I'll wait for the remix thanks.
God Saade's pronounciation is making want to punch my screen.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
I really like Popular, I don't think it's disappointing at all.

Rips have been popped in Shirley's self-roast suicide on Sunday![]()
But now to the business at hand. Eric has suitably empowered me to go out and be more popular.

Having said that Eric's is extremely well produced. Still not sure about the Oh Mama rip-off in the chorus though.

Also FUCK OFF Alexander Bard. I Thought It Was Forever isn't even the gayest song you've written for an MF THIRD HEAT, let alone fucking ever![]()
I'm going to hold out on hearing the full versions until the Harcourt tonight. Schlagerfiaskot here we come.
If being myself is what I do wrong
Then I would rather not be right
I hope someone cleared that Boney M sample in Saade's TUNE![]()
Having originally been disappointed, I'm actually quite enjoying the last minute of I Thought It Was Forever
The Sara (both), Linda and Sebastian tracks are all at least 8.5/10 moments too. Wonderful heat!
Eric has the perfect song song. It's MF by numbers, it's aggressive, catchy, silly. Two words: Pretty fantastic.
The second part of the chorus is better than the actual hook.
Sarah L. is my favourite. It's a weird pop song, but it has some A*Teens moments and it feels very good. It's very Anna Bergendahl isn't it? Great climax.
The Forsberg is beautiful. The Playtones has a good melody.
Not much to add.
Some songs are quite alright but to be honest, there's only one reason to tune in tonight -
LENA LENA LENA.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Not gonna lie, I can't wait to see Eric do the final note given he could barely manage the second verse's climax![]()
He pretty much won't, I bet my life Lars is gonna do it backstage again just like with the big note after his shower-dance at the end of last year's performance.
Or maybe he was just taking it slowly to rest his voice. Or something.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
I would guess that where the rehearsal clip stops is pretty much where Eric's vocals stop.
Popular is actually AMAZING, more over Loreen, I have a new favourite MF11 choon
Those big notes are clearly in the same vein as Cheryl on 'The Flood' though ie. SO NOT HIM.

'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
The overall standard of the heat is quite high, hardly HEAT OF DEATH standard or whatever it was they were talking about, but it's good to see a handful of really good songs, any of which could really make it through. Obviously Eric is sailing through, but other than that, no idea who'll make it.

I think I like Popular more than Manboy.

Me too, it's quite like 'It's Gonna Rain' off his album, which is his best song. So I'm definitely pleased about that.

I'm so excited about Shirley tonight. I haven't heard or seen anything yet but reading the comments about her above I think I'm in for a disappointment.![]()
And I'm also curious about how many words Eric will actually sing "live".
