I love Popular and I wouldn't mind it winning this year. But I do worry how it will sound in Germany with live backing. Will there be any dancers left?
What's confusing? We just find the heart of the prison and the dragon who speaks without walls, and we're home free. Simple.

Popular is much better in full than the rehearsal clip suggested - his voice still sound ROUGH AS at points though.
Shirley's effort is nice enough, but I can't help but feel underwhelmed by it. I think her voice is more pleasant in Swedish too. Sebastian's song is enjoyable but could use a little more oomph maybe and N-M-EEEEE is passable but not a qualifier, especially considering what she will sound like live. The other three entries I didn't think a great deal of.
Linda is probably my favourite at the moment, but that could change in performance, there isn't much in it between the top four for me.

Eric is a shit singer, I can't believe people defending him. I think he'll make a great performance too but he just can't hold a tune.
If Eric were to get to Eurovision, I'd say he'll have a similar set-up to Sakis Rouvas, with 4 dancers, some or all of whom will have to double up as backing singers, and one (possibly hidden) backing singer singing the melody along with him. I think that's what Ani Lorak did as well. It can be done.
I don't want Eric going to Eurovision, he could barely present the Swedish votes last year, I dread to think what would happen if he had to sing.
You are a depraved bird of hate, get out of my sight!
Off course it can be done but not very enjoyable to listen to though.
I love it when there is a fat lady in black at the back of the stage like Koldun and Ani Lorak had.

The backing vocals on tape introduction really has brought more negatives (aka shit singers getting away with it) than positives (Malena Ernman) to the MF.
But then again, it's only been introduced so that they have to rethink the performances for Eurovision (YEAH RIGHT, Christer)![]()

Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
I do think it's about time the people allowed on stage was increased for Eurovision however. The six-person rule is so outdated when you consider how big the contest has got in the last decade.
Anyway, I have to get ready for a party but have a great evening everyone...

I've decided Linda Sundblad is my second favourite of the heat after much deliberation, but Shirley, Sebastian and the Saras are making my top 4 incredibly difficult![]()
Has Christer got a Eurovision job?
A normal person must
Dismiss you with disgust
And weep for those who trusted you.
I really hope the recorded backing vocals don't make it in. It's all very well in Melodifestivalen where it's as much about the artist promoting themselves and their songs as it is about finding a song for Eurovision, but for Eurovision itself it is ridiculous. I do think it would be met with such an incredible backlash that it would never last though.
The silly thing is that the more people you allow on stage, the less NEED there is for recorded backing vocals. It's silly to have both.

What could be more important than Heat 3? (I haven't seen a single heat myself this year)
Probably nor tonight's.
Anyone else in the Harcourt? Madison's running half an hour late...
If being myself is what I do wrong
Then I would rather not be right
