I like Mumford and Sons but COME THE FUCK ON. The Brit Awards is not the TIME OR PLACE for their unique brand of SOMETIMES TEDIOUS FOLK CRAP. It was BAD ENOUGH having to watch an entire set of theirs in a venue where I was WITH FANS but having THAT trying to contest with RIHANNA

    NO NO NO NO NO

I'm listening to the Laura Marling album and she sounds a lot more interesting than what she seemed on stage today. She looked almost bored receiving this award. Very weird.

And Mumford & Sons sounded a lot like Fleet Foxes. I think I liked them.

I don't think she was bored, I think she was just completely overwhelmed and didn't expect to win. UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE JESSIE J.

Yeah, maybe that's the way she reacts to huge surprises, but she looked completely stunned. I'd have expected a bit more excitement being named the best female solo in Britain. Anyway, she's an interesting artist, so well done to her (although as we know this award is cursed )

Did Jessie J say that?! Haha, i'd be full of false shock at being given an award even if i was DEAD CERT, but not if there was only ONE nominee and both myself and the public had known it was me for at least a month.

And i agree with your mumford sentiment. I thought a few moopers were being a bit harsh and Narrowminded PJ Forum Member about them in this thread, but there really was no defending them after that perf. The brits are where you should bring out your A GAME and perform your best song to your very best; not try and make some boring statement about how organic/real you are, which it did feel a bit like they were doing. It can be ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC and a damn good watch (as they normally seem to be).

I may have paraphrased it slightly, but that's essentially what she said

well the whole thing was obviously much more of a music industry event rather than the 'controversial' shit we've had before so it was quite DULL, but at least the cringe factor was the lowest it's EVER been for me.

I also liked the huge COCK stage.

YES! It was exactly the same shape as the stage in Revenge in Brighton.

That could easily have been her, 'oh shit, my career's over' face.

Also, after listening to the Mumford & Sons album yesterday night, I think it did deserve its award. It's very good indeed.

Speaking after Tuesday night's Brit Awards, where she presented an award to fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, she told ITV2 that she was so affected by Christina's alleged actions, that she feared approaching Boy George.

She explained, "He (Boy George) was stood behind us... and I decided to walk over. I'm a very shy person... and I didn't know what he would do, and he said, 'Oh hi!' He knew who I was and I was like, 'Oh my God!'

"He was super nice, unlike Christina Aguilera, who was really mean to me when I said hi to her. You know what, I said to my friends, 'I'm gonna go over to Boy George and hopefully he won't pull a Christina on me.'

"We're label mates, and I presumed (as) we have the same manager... I remember going over... and introducing myself and saying, 'Hi, we kinda do the same thing,' but I just kind of got (an ignorant laugh)."

I wonder if she was told to deliberately cause a stir? Let's face it, she needs all the promo she can get for her new album, and presenting the Brit Award is probably the only UK Promo she has lined up.

She clearly did it for a BIT OF PROMO but her laugh at the end is excellent and the great thing about Christina is that she’s still in the public eye but NO ONE gives a fuck about her

Nothing is going right for Xtina at the moment. The Superbowl disaster, falling down at the Grammys, Avril fucking Lavigne dissing you in public...I would feel sorry for her if I didn't think this was all Karma coming to bite her in the bum.

I mean I'm sure Mary J Blige wasn't LYING when she said the first time she met Christina, Christina put a hand in her face motioning for Mary to KISS it

Am I still the only one who sees the Moonbaby/Avril similarities? I'm not taking a hint here, they have exactly the SAME FACE

(that's not a sly knock either, despite being a bit of a dick Avril is very pretty)

Avril Lavigne, despite ten years in the music industry, is still a socially awkward misfit. I love her.

The downfall of Christina couldn't have gone any better if jivafox had written it himself.

It's been such a joy. Easily the best thing she's ever done. Now FUCK OFF

Well i just watched the whole thing, Adele was of course amazing but i surprisingly liked Take That's even though they would be better without Robbie. Mumford and Sons were disastrous but in their defence they just chose the wrong song to perfrom, they are usually amazing and very intense (see their performance at the Grammy's). Laura Marling is just very young and was obviously overwhelmed by the whole thing, not everybody needs to be loud or annoying to prove they can make decent music and deserve awards.

Cee Lo and Paloma was just a car crash what with him stepping on her dress and then nearly taking off his shirt. Plan B is a chav isn't he??
