We will get an audience poll tonight? I'm VERY curious to see the results of that one.
What's confusing? We just find the heart of the prison and the dragon who speaks without walls, and we're home free. Simple.

Only a poof or a someone in modelling (and let's face it those worlds collide A LOT) would call them chubby.

That said they really need to send their stylist to Dignitas, not flattering.

I did wonder if I maybe didn't know the meaning of chubby after all.

That doesn't excuse the people in here frothing at the gusset for the SONG. It's PANTS.

Well, turns out the chubby backing singer got lunginflammation overnight and she's being replaced by:

No, not Charlotte but her one the left hand side, Caroline Jönsson.

Linda had pre recorded female backing vocals this afternoon, no sign of fattie. Her performance is quite MANIC. It's like a greatest hits medley but I loved it. She's wearing a canary yellow dress and canary yellow thigh high boots!

Love Generation have amazing staging. The Malena white-out is back but put to better effect I think. They sounded ropey vocally but so much energy. There's a massive buzz about them with all the press who were watching the rehearsals.

Good news regarding SDF being dispatched. The way she was grinning over Linda's shoulder was most distracting.

I can't wait to see Linda strutting about in canary yellow!

I'm not sure about this canary theme, but then who'd have predicted she'd be able to make TARTAN work in 2008?

Is it too late for Loreen to win?

It's the only song I really love this year.

The difference between Loreen and Snalla Snalla is that under any other rules apart from the ones for that specific year, the latter would have won its heat.

That said I think it's the best song in the competition, I just wish she was more engaging.

    Såhär röstade Malmö-publiken:

    1. Melody Club – "The Hunter": 466 röster (47,02%)
    2. Linda Bengtzing – "E de fel på mig": 156 röster (15,74%)
    3. Love Generation – "Dance Alone": 129 röster (13,02%)
    4. Nicke Borg – "Leaving Home": 116 röster (11,71%)
    5. Lasse Stefanz – "En blick och nånting händer": 50 röster (5,05%)

Melody Club and Lasse Stefanz performed twice but STILL, MELODY CLUB, REALLY?

    Oh SWEDEN.

Strange because all of the reports I've read have said just how much the press love (or are being paid to) Love Generation and the song. Please don't tell me Melody Club are going to sneak it like The Ark did...

I'll despair if the Swedes are going to fall for this sub-par The Ark shit, I really will.

I just hope with The Ark performing, the public will see Melody Club as low-grade shit that doesn't really compare. I'm not missing anything am I? 'The Hunter' really is quite weak to these ears.

However, last year Neo won the genrep-poll in Malmö and Anna Bergendahl finished close to the bottom.

So, take it with a pinch o' salt.

Yeah, she only came 5th. The thing I don't get, is the audience are obviously going to be those who love MF for what it is (SCHLAGER GAYS) so you can sort of understand voting for Neo but MELODY CLUB? REALLY?

I seem to remember Timoteij came low in their poll too...

I think to a point some of the audience give their exit opinions on name power.

Well, I reckon some songs/performances also work better in an arena setting but don't connect that well with the viewers at home and the other way around.

Could well be that Melody Club fall under the first category.

Right, I've just listened to the clips for the first time. Yet again, what an anticlimax. If it wasn't for his weird appearance I'd say Nicke might have a chance of winning the whole shebang.

Fucking hell that's some margin!! 3 times as many votes as Linda in 2nd place. I guess that's Melody Club DTG then...

Even though Linda is the BIGGEST NAME in the heat!*

Having said that, Linda remarked that she was only kidding and said it's gonna be tight affair on Saturday night since quite a number songs have a shot at going DTG.

I'd say this is the most wide open heat - mainly because there's nothing particularly good there.

Obviously, I'm loving Bengtzing and I'm as desperate for her to go DTG as she herself probably is but I have yet to figure out whether I love the song itself or whether I just love it cause it's HER.

    HMMM

Bengtzing's song is the best of a bad bunch for me. So I do want her to qualify.

Am I alone in finding the lead singer from Melody Club really creepy and offputting? The weird voice, pvc jacket, manky hair and spazzy arm are an absolutely combo.

It's a shame as the song is actually quite good but I know I'm going to hate the performance.

I think I don't hate the Melody Club song actually... but I know exactly what you mean about the lead singer. His pronunciation is HIDEOUS too.

I never expected Melody Club to win, let alone with such a lead. I am glad Linda B is second.

The vocal mixing of the chorus on the studio version of Dance Alone is just so SLOPPY.

    Oh RED ONE

edit: that said, it would be a shame if sweden voted that non-starter by Melody Club into Globen rather than 'Dance Alone'

This will no doubt get me banned from here but I'm not liking Linda B this year. That chav dance intro that ends up permeating throughout has put me right off.

Rips have been thrown into the ginger one from Love Generation's chances of HIV-related rape conviction before the year is out.

    Speaking of No Angel's comparisions:

Their live vocals are bound to be just as ropey as THE ANGELS.
