Notes? YAY
the rest? HMPF. I don't really see the need personally. Notification Center is cool though if you use Mail (hope it can be set up with internet based mail accounts)
The next update to this is Mountain Lion released in late summer

I don't understand why you don't use the Mail program built in??????
Messages can be downloaded now

I just don't see the need when I can just open my browser
did anyone use iChat?![]()
No but that's because it didn't work of Apple IDs
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
On the mac?
It uses your e-mail address as the caller ID from what I have figured out. But you can still send to mobile numbers that use iMessage so they receive it on their phone.

Mountain Lion launches tomorrow

I'm not sure I want my Macbook to turn into a big iPhone though...
That happened when you installed Lion.

Maybe one of you might be able to help me out.
I've successfully installed a bootcamp partition on my MacBook Pro (the 2010 edition, i5) (and currently running Lion without any problems).
However, when I try to play a game on my windows 7 partition, it only works for about 30 minutes. Then I get a black screen and it takes a while before I can make it work again.
I've tried to find a solution online, but none have helped me out so far.

Mountain Lion is what Snow Leopard was to Leopard. It's way way more slicker than Lion was. All the CLUNK has gone. It's QUITE LOVELY to use.

The new Safari is FUCKING SUBLIME
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
I really don't get you. You're like the worst Mac owner ever.
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
downloaded and installed. excactly what am I looking for here?
I've got some pretty vital extensions in chrome which is why I don't use safari
first impressions: slow and uses up battery really fast
You're not supposed to be looking for anything apart from Notificatob Center I guess.
I found it operation wise alot smoother after the initial slowness you get with a new install as it sorts everything out.
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
yeah I reckon it just needs to do the indexing first
I doubt I'll be using NotificationsI don't even have it on on my phone. I do like Notes though, just can't seem to get it to sync with my phone, do I need to switch it on on both devices?
What do you use on your phone for stuff like text messages?
I don't understand notes at all. I think you need an iCloud account me @me.com e-mail address.
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
Oh if you click on Notes and it asks you create a new @me.com email address just do that.
Then open Notes and choose iCloud as your account and they'll start Synching with each other.
Then in System Preferences for iCloud turn on Notes in there as well.
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
WHAT?that's way to much of a hassle to get my random scribblings on both devices. I don't get the @me.com SHIT, I already have an Apple account
I didn't get it either but it's simple enough. You don't set up another password or anything it just gives you an email address linked to iCloud.

The last few posts of this thread read like Grandma having a conversation with her grandson doing his IT GCSE.
is there any way to go back? the battery's a joke now
I don't see how it's effecting your battery. What's the health of your battery (download iStat or Coconut Battery).
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
same as before the update, around 90%. I'm positive it held battery better before
and only percentage in the status bar now, I liked time better![]()
