It's climbed to #36 in the UK. It was at #79 2 days ago, the video clearly helped, when the video's full effect takes place, it should go top 20.

It's gaining really well on BEP in the U.S. At this rate it can get to #2 in 2 days, don't know about #1, E.T is MASSIVE.

The BEP are still increasing (or maybe the #1 ET is just decreasing?), but I just hope that new Pitbull track doesn't overtake it because it's shooting up

Adele just passed him. He's not much of a threat. And about BEP,

    3 hours ago:
    2 The Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough 0.7486 0.7348
3 Britney Spears - Till the World Ends 0.5534 0.5676

    Now:
    2 The Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough 0.7388 0.7348
3 Britney Spears - Till the World Ends 0.5761 0.5676

Britney is gaining, and they're decreasing - what are you on about?

MEDIOCRE on the UK front as expected.

Meanwhile the album is back up to #4 and #26 on US iTunes thanks to some SLUTTY TEEN MOMS with Easter iTunes vouchers

Given how lukewarm the public was to HIAM, 150k ain't that bad. TTWE should at least top 100k as well.

She hasn't even sold Gold yet, has she? How can she be certified platinum with the market the way it is?

As long as the label requests for a certification at least five weeks after the release date, the shipments will be made accordingly. She's sold around 440k or something so far, MJ sold that much with his posthumeous album Michael last year when they certified that Platinum.

They don't want any stocking problems after people see the tour. The feverish reaction to her live and acoustic version of 'Criminal' will make 'Someone Like You' look like an X Factor audition.

They really need to certify ITZ and Blackout again. Both are 5k and 7k from topping their next million.

And it looks SILLY not having Blackout certified.

Femme Fatale sells another 30k in the US this week (at #4) bringing it to 470k overall. Hopefully it will stay somewhat stable next week with Mother's Day sales (ie. doubtful)

    TTWE total: 1,150,000

TTWE doing brilliantly. It's fallen a bit now, but should be at 1.3 million by the end of the week. Hopefully FF can at least do 25k to put it fairly much at 500k.

Femme Fatale passes 1 million sales worldwide:

    United World Chart
    week 1 #2 432.000 (432.000)
    week 2 #2 162.000 (594.000)
    week 3 #4 105.000 (699.000)
    week 4 #4 91.000 (790.000)
    week 5 #5 71.000 (861.000)
    week 6 #10 55.000 (916.000)
    week 7 #16 46.000 (962.000)
    week 8 #19 36.000 (998.000)
    week 9 #20 35.000 (1.033.000)

It should at least match Blackout in the long run

I honestly don't think that's a bad result given that the lead single was such a DAMP SQUIB. It's always tough to recover album sales when the first single bombs even if there are hits left on the album

I'm still hoping "I Wanna Go" blows up all over Europe, all signs point to a US hit but I feel like this could recover her somewhat mediocre chart performance over there with this album along with the tour

I think 'I Wanna Go' could really WORK as a single in the UK. I was listening to it today and I genuinely think that it's summery and distinctive enough to work as a good pop song although it probably won't mark a big Britney comeback. That said, if radio doesn't get behind it (and at this point in the campaign, why would they) then it might die a rapid death.

It's so weird how she's pretty much OVER, but US radio has never been more receptive to her.

When does IWG get its official release? At least with the album not performing as well as her others, it gives the singles a chance.

I think what you have there is a complete difference in culture - Americans totally get behind their fallen stars (well, those that can make a comeback); when I was last in America, the GOODWILL towards her was astounding. In the UK she'd have been ripped to shreds and cast aside - in America there seems to be this genuine belief that not only is she well again, she's better than ever.

She's by no means the TOP female pop star around in the US (that would of course go to Gaga, Rihanna, Katy and Taylor) but in terms of respectable album sales and hit singles she's staying very visible on the pop scene. But I don't think anyone genuinely believes she's in the best shape of her career commercially or as a performer.

It's odd though how she was such bankable paparazzi/tabloid bait in that 2004-2007 period when she wasn't really doing anything musically or career-wise and now that she's been making public appearances and been more of a presence on pop radio no one seems to give a shit about her private life. It's quite right too since she seems to have an incredibly mundane, domestic life outside of the occasional promo/recording schedule.

Femme Fatale sold 9,918 in the US this week bringing it to a total of 600,160. Not too shabby, I just hope it stays around the 10k mark for awhile

It's done a bit over 1.2 million worldwide, I believe. Moving around 23-25k per week. It seems to be getting a SLIGHT upkick in some non-American countries outside of the UK because of "I Wanna Go" and maybe the tour announcements/press.

The North American market does usually account for about 50% of the total doesn't it? Or at least I think it always used to. So by that standard 1.2m sounds about right. I just didn't know if she was relatively MORE popular in the US, as I know the UK must be pretty much her poorest market now.

As much as the UK has abandoned her she can at least pull a 30k+ opening week which isn't as bad as it could be. It'll probably chug to nearly 100k after the tour, which given her efforts is about right.

US Amazon here had it for $3.99 a couple months ago when I bought it, hopefully combined with the single impact () it will at least boost the album back up to the top 100 or something in the UK

Sales are particularly low at the minute, so it is possible. Toatl UK sales haven't increased much since the last update though, around 80k now.
