I love how Pam Ann has frequent flyers at EVERY gig who know the dance routine to Patsy Gallant's "From New York To LA".
She needs her own TOPIC to be honest. Let's face it, what gay DOESN'T know Pam Ann?

Seeing Pam Ann every week at the Two Brewers back in the day is the only reason I know said song...
I saw her play Brighton a couple of years ago. She was on an horrendous comedown from Pride, which only made it BETTER.
UGH I don't know what to do... this Virgin strike might be in July, so can I presume it'll be over by November when I fly? Or should I just go with BA, who are somehow the safe option?![]()

I've flown Ryan Air 3 times over the last month, once to Edinburgh and once each way to Gran Canaria. None of them charged for online check in. The only 'extra' I paid for was baggage (which really should come free!)
I've used Easyjet and Ryan Air. To me they're pretty much EXACTLY the same. What were the problems everyone had!?
Gloss rhymes with hair!
It says a lot about budget airlines when EasyJet is considered the premier airline of choice in that particular field.

HEY U GUYS
I'm flying to New York on Tuesday with Virgin.
They've offered me an 'extra legroom' (three inches) seat for £30 or an exit row one for £50. Has anyone sat in these? Are they much preferable to the standard, if so?

Do you have long femurs?
I've never been given such an option before, but I would definitely pay £30 to be able to fit my legs in.

I have relatively short legs - I currently need to have a 30" pair of jeans taken up about two inches![]()
So maybe it would be wasted on the likes of me.
leg room is always nice... plus there's nobody in front of you
Ryanair just feels a bit more tacky and marginally shitter. The problem I had with Ryanair is the constant stream of noise over the tannoy constantly talking about things that the cabin crew are about to try and sell you. It was actually RELENTLESS when I went to Barcelona. Two hour-ish flight, and there was the regular food and drink trolley twice, then scratchcards, then asking for charity donations, then Hello! magazine, then smokeless cigarettes and THEN duty free. Completely over the top.
Easyjet will usually try and hock you some SHIT as well, but it's never as often as that and they don't have the constant pre-recorded advertising things assaulting your ears either.

Ryanair is run by sadists who enjoy making ever single aspect of your flight miserable and pounce on you for money at every opportunity.Originally Posted by Lee

I don't like exit row seats cos you can't put anything under the seat in front, it all has to go in the baggage compartment. I like to have THINGS TO HAND.
I flew with BA to Australia and it was fab. I then flee with Virgin to South Africa and it was absolutely dreadful. The food was shocking, the tv didnt work for the entire flight, the staff were just gossiping and giggling amongst themselves and then during my travels I had to alter some flights and Virgin were appalling. They forgot to change one of my flights, leaving me stranded in Malaysia.
Singapore airlines are the best I've ever flown with.
Also, virgin seats are slightly narrower than other airlines.
