    Oh can you IMAGINE?

"PercyPig arrives for his wedding dressed as the dowager countess, riding up the driveway on a horse-drawn swivel chair."

Beautiful. The wedding reception will of course feature a sabotage of food. Who wants to be my bride?

N.B: Bride must have a cock.

Downton Abbey will return later this month, ITV has confirmed.

The award-winning drama will once again air after The X Factor during the autumn months.

The Julian Fellowes show, which stars Maggie Smith and Hugh Bonneville, begins its eight-part second series on Sunday, September 18 at 9pm.

Downton Abbey's seven-part first series averaged 8.8m viewers last autumn.

Series two of the period piece, which will conclude with a Christmas special, will explore the lives of the Crawley family during the First World War.

Naturally. I'm not sure what I'm more excited for, this or The Good Wife. Either way Sep 11 is a GOOD MONTH for TV.

If anyone has a spare hour…

Around 36 minutes is quite interesting. They talk about never giving it to the BBC and why it was brilliant they inherited a big audience from X Factor even though the lead in audience is completely different.

Oh i didn't even make the connection that it was Mr Pamuk! His disappointing real hair threw me off, and stopped me wanting to bum him into heaven (off screen, in an adbreak).

As trailers go the new one didn't seem as OMG WHAT IS THAT at last year's, but i think i saw a shorter cut of it. The trench stuff looked SHITTING GREAT though, and was that THOMAS i saw CRYING? My poor little sociopath.

It was also nice to see the itv marketing folk being as creative as ever with their soundtrack choices -

Series 1: rip off the trailer for the social network
Series 2: skip to the next track on the album

There's also a minute long version as well which shows lots of people throwing themselves into the shoulders of others.

I think my favourite moment is when when Sybli gets up out the chair in a rush.

Have you ever seen someone so pretty though. I'm claiming her as my favourite before you gays do because you know series 2 is going to be her series.

Ooh i'd not seen that full length one before. It's MARVELLOUS. They should show it every time.

Is there much promo lined up? I want Maggie Smith in character on the Loose Women panel.

Lady Sybil was my favourite last series and I expect her EVOLUTION to continue with this series

Prefer a WOMAN WITH A CAUSE as opposed to an UPTIGHT HAG like Lady Mary

Yes! I love how with Downton Abbey coming back, The X Factor adbreaks are better than the actual X Factor. I recorded last night's and halfway through found myself fastforwarding through the dreary audition bollocks to get to the next ads. I wonder what stupid worthy Bates has done to anger Lord Grantham this time.

ALSO, i was far too excited to meet an actual real life dowager last week. ALTHOUGH she was a dowager duchess rather than a dowager countess, and she made no WASPISH QUIPS, and smelled a bit of piss mixed with Estee Lauder, so once more REAL LIFE IS SHIT.

Oh and i've been rewatching series 1 over the past month or so (it's somehow even more magnificent the second time around) and i'm assuming that Gwen the maid who wanted to be a secretary (and let's be honest - we'd all forgotten about) won't be coming back this year? You've got to feel sorry for that actress.
