I'd recommend 'The Help', read it on holidays a few weeks ago in 3 days, couldn't put it out of my hands.
Anything considered. I'd prefer something fairly recent, hopefully by someone I've never heard of, not particularly heavy, and something of a page turner. Any genre considered.

That's it, honestly I haven't enjoyed a book so much in ages. I'd also recommend you AVOID 'The Slap', fucking awful shite.

Definitely 'The Help' lolly. I'm reading it at the moment and wishing I was on holiday so I had the time to read it in one go.
