For the first time in this Survivor, we had a TIE in Round 5, meaning that we lose not one but two songs this time.
By far and away the least two popular songs were only remaining ballad 'Heartbeat', one half of their biggest seller, and 'You'll Be Sorry', one half of one of their lowest sellers.
What will be next for the chop? Voting is open for three days.
=13th - Heartbeat
=13th - You'll Be Sorry
15th - Stomp
16th - Better The Devil You Know
17th - I Know Him So Well
18th - 5,6,7,8
=19th - When I Said Goodbye
=19th - Words Are Not Enough
21st - Baby Don't Dance
22nd - Too Busy Thinking 'Bout My Baby
23rd - Thank Abba For The Music

It was between 'Tragedy' and 'Here & Now' for me...the former because I still think it's horrendously overplayed and the latter because whilst it's a great song, it's pretty much Steps at their lowest point sales-wise. I opted for 'Tragedy' based purely on the fact that I would be happy to never hear it ever again.
I thought that about Tragedy until recently, but the comeback has really proved that I have enough distance from Tragedy to really enjoy it again these days.
I'm not enjoying how much they're using it during the comeback performances if I'm honest. I'm not expecting them to completely ignore it, but of all their songs, 'Tragedy' was the one that would happily live on with or without the group's existence. I'd rather they focused on reviving songs like 'One For Sorrow', 'It's The Way You Make Me Feel' and yes even 'Deeper Shade Of Blue' which had been largely forgotten.
POOR POOR YOU'LL BE SORRY.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Say You'll Be Mine or After The Love Has Gone are the 2 I'd happily see the back of now.
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
Faye looks fucking awful on both of those single covers, how she has blossomed.
Claire is the only one that looks decent on that YBS cover, where as on the Heartbeat cover she looks like a Dutch Woman on a Ski Slope.
I have gone tactical to save Better Best Forgotten
P.s. if both You'll Be Sorry and Here And Now finish outside the Top10 it'll be proof that moopy LOST THE PLOT.![]()

The result this time was fair, my feelings on You'll Be Sorry have been made clear and Heartbeat would've been my next choice, as although it's a very nice wintery song and one of my favourite ballads by a mixed-sex pop group from the 90s, it cannot stand up against the rest.
This is where it gets tough. I think it's time for Here And Now to leave. I do like it a lot but it does stand out as a weak link at this stage.

It's maybe bad to vote for a song when I can't remember how it goes, but as I bought the Ultimate Collection only weeks ago I think this justifies that decision fairly well. Better Best Forgotten conveys the innocence of Steps, and the fact that it sounds so cheap and naff is crucial to its iconic status - it cannot bow out so early. I still remember it getting slated on Live & Kicking's Hit, Miss or Maybe.
Reflected onto the wet pavement, can you see what I see?
You think that's bad? Just wait and see where my vote will be going once LTOMM has gone.
What the actual fuck gays? You'll Be Sorry gone and now we're giving it's just-as-fabulous other A side the boot?
BBF just to keep half of what was their best single package (JLTFT being the most fabulous B side of all time) in.
Looking forward to the next round RobotBoy![]()

Round 7 is open.
Round 8 will be a multiple choice poll where you vote for your favourite, least favourite and middle favourite, with 9 songs leaving the competition, just to keep it interesting.
