Week 1
The judges vote out 2 Shoes, Amelia Lily, James Michael and JonJo Kerr
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Week 2 and Week 7 aside the judges always saved the contestant that pull the lowest number of votes. HMMM.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Seems that Little Mix have been at least sort of popular all the way through. Marcus however has been strictly MOR except in week five.
I did think Little Mix might have been close to the bottom two some weeks but not at all. YAY!
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
Marcus NOT REALLY getting the votes is the biggest surprise.
Misha nearly made it into the final!![]()
wow quite surprising results there!
Marcus was never really the runaway winner and Little Mix were never that much in threat.
Who the fuck was voting for Janetthank FUCK she had that bad week towards the end that sealed her fate because she may have actually won the whole frigging thing...
I expected Craig to have done better than that, espeically in week 1.
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
Yeah it was week 7, seems to have sealed the deal for them.
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
Yeah, week 7.
For most of the act it really was a case of only as 'good' (whatever the great public perceives as good) as the last performance. Janet aside it's all over the place.
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Little Mix topped the vote with (Excluding the final)
Don't Let Go
You Keep Me Hanging On/If I Were A Boy
and came second with
E.T
Baby/Where Did Our Love Go.
I'm quite shocked that 2Shoes came last in the Vote-back-in poll.
53% to 47% if you take out Amelia. Slightly narrower than Matt's 53.6% vs Rebecca's 46.4%, but still the closest since Shayne vs. Andy (50.6/49.4)
That was rock week, wasn't? AKA pretty much the worst this year.![]()
Nothing to see here MOVE ALONG.
Sophie came third with Wherever You Will Go?!
Kitty came third LAST with It's Oh So Quiet?
I'm actually not surprised in the slightest they were never really under threat (that week 3 bloodbath aside). I know on here everybody was terrified every week, but from the start of the live shows I'd been hearing people raving about them...it was obvious they weren't just going to be another out-in-three-weeks X Factor girlband. Not to mention the prominence they were given at the judges' houses stage showing how much the programme was behind them.
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
I've whacked it all into Excel and pulled out the vote performances proportional to the mean (to the number of acts per week - so in week 2, there were 12 acts. The mean vote percentage would therefore be 100 divided by 12 - 8.3%) - which shows voting bumps and general trends quite well, accounting for the reduced number of acts as the show goes on which makes raw percentages harder to precisely interpret (:geek.
Quite interesting, in that Little Mix consistently outperformed the average and as such were generally always quite popular - also showing that, as we expected, Week 4 (not just E.T., but the Jesy online bullies VT), Week 7 (Don't Let Go) and the semis were their big performances. The big losers of the series by this method were Janet, Johnny and The Risk, whilst Misha was easily the biggest gainer. Frankie was the standard Wagner/Jedward-style contestant, bumping along and only just tending to avoid elimination.Code:ACT 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 SEMI FINAL 1 FINAL 2 AVERAGE LM 104.4 66 137 107.1 107.1 156.6 112 137.6 117 106.04 115.08 Marcus 81.6 123.2 101 144 90.3 86.4 105 96 103.5 93.96 102.5 Amelia 191.8 67.8 119 85.6 79.5 108.74 Misha B 93.6 129.8 51 109.8 56 135 72.5 80.8 91.06 Janet 283.2 189.2 147 162 121.8 88.8 91.5 154.79 Craig 82.8 66 130 90.9 74.2 65.4 84.88 Kitty 70.8 55 129 68.4 58.8 76.4 Frankie 62.4 66 57 78.3 65.93 Johnny 78 188.1 122 74.7 115.7 Risk 130.8 91.3 72 64.8 89.73 Sophie 106.8 63.8 54 74.87 Sami 74.4 61.6 68 Nu Vibe 31.2 31.2

What a GEEK.
Top up, Sue?
And for those who like SHINY PICTURES here's a LINE GRAPH illustrating all of the above data
(My life is DISAPPEARING DOWN THE DRAIN.)

The important thing is that you're not doing this at 1:30am.
Top up, Sue?
Yeah and plus it came the week after Teenage Dream which was actually really good.
Some points (in no order)
- It was really close at the bottom in week 3!
- Frankie (as I suspected) was doing a Wagner and annoyingly scraping through every week. Thank god they got rid.
- 2 Shoes came last in the return vote.![]()
- As someone's already said, it's nice to see LM were never really in any danger.
- Urgh, bloody Ulster and their bloody Janfts and Eggnogs. Thank god they got rid when they could.
- Misha was bottom every time she was in the B2.UNDESERVED. But she was very very close to Amelia in the semi final which is nice.
- Kitty was MUCH better than her votes dictate. Don't the X Factor audience care about PERFS?![]()
Looking at that, though, Misha was RUINED by Tulisa's bullying comments...she crashed and burned that week and never REALLY recovered...
It's been too long, it's been too long...
And ASTONISHING how convinced we were prior to the final that Amelia would be a distant third when she WON just two weeks previously!

It's been too long, it's been too long...
The Risk REALLY dropped off a cliff after the first week, didn't they?
Amelia's performance goes to show that she could have gone one better had she not missed so many weeks. She clearly connected with the public.
But then was that BECAUSE she'd missed the weeks and people felt sorry for her? That first week comeback was BLATANTLY because of that...
It's been too long, it's been too long...
Other interesting things to pull out from the graph: Marcus's worst voting performance (relatively) was Week 7 - the performance was Higher and Higher. It wasn't just a case of them having been able to choose a slightly better track to reprise, he literally got given the worst possible track to promote himself with! Contrast that with Little Mix, who had one of the most powerful performances in terms of vote increase in Don't Let Go. The producers may not have been shitting themselves as much at the prospect of a Marcus victory (after all, they had the voting figures), but they certainly weren't taking their chances
Higher and Higher was in the last performing slot of Week 7 and all! That week must really have damaged him.

Janet comfortably winning the vote - with her second highest percentage - the week she absolutely massacred I Want You Back just goes to show that it's better to be awful than mediocre.
