I would love this song in any form but OF COURSE it's an NR fan's wet dream to have a solo version. It's possibly my favourite Aloud track.
And doesn't she look GOOD in that video still?

AMAZING

I think it's GLORIOUS. I probably just prefer the original since that one has all of my girls on it (AND SARAH), but this is a worthy addition to my ipod nonetheless. And i've only listened to this one twice, as opposed to about SEVEN HUNDRED times like i have with the other (possibly my favourite song from the Out of Control era, tp fact fans).
I wish they'd just sell it outright though. They'd surely shift way more. At least one to me RIGHT NOW anyway.
I don't know the original but HOW ON EARTH can this be anyone's favourite Girls Aloud song? It's not very good.
The original is OK, far from a highlight of their career for me, but this is a LITTLE better. It's more like a 7/10 compared to the 6/10 for the original.
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
Someone give it to me, it's sending shivers. She sounds a bit like Harding on it. The song is incredible 10/10.
Reflected onto the wet pavement, can you see what I see?
This is one of those songs I'd probably think was much better if it hadn't been hyped to death by internet loons.
It's not dreadful, but I can think of at least 15 Girls Aloud songs that are much better.
Where did the original tag slagging me off go? Someone's been deleting tags again!
Urgh - who does that?
A normal person must
Dismiss you with disgust
And weep for those who trusted you.
The tag was 'robotboy: bastion of good music taste', non?
I imagine that the tagger is OUTRAGED at such CENSORSHIP
It wasn't even malicious I AGAIN IMAGINE
There's been quite a spate of this type of shenanigan lately.
Although i imagine that they deleted it themselves, because they were both unclear of its clarity and whether they had used the word bastion correctly. Also they had had a drink i imagine
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
RB, of ALL PEOPLE I really thought you'd know this CANONICAL song
I do like Girls Aloud, but I never thought their b sides were very good and was put off them even further by the ridiculous amount of praise they got. I'd always go into a listen expecting great things and be disappointed when it was just another track not good enough for the album. I'm really NOT much of a Xenomania fan at all though TBH.
This song really is AVERAGE AT BEST.
Crazy Fool
Memory Of You
Androgynous Girls
I Don't Really Hate You
Hoxton Heroes
ALL STUPENDOUSLY GOOD.
Can we throw in Singapore too, cos that's another 10/10.

Singapore is AMAZING and I don't care if that sounds like hyperbole.
Crazy Fool is better than any subsequent Cheryl solo recording too.

Oh Girls Aloud's bsides are GENERALLY just that...bsides. They aren't a Kylie in terms of quality, but there's some NOT BAD STUFF there all the same.
But "Singapore" and "Memory Of You" transcend that level by a COUNTRY MILE. Both were wasted entirely- the latter should have replaced "Fix Me Up" on "Out of Control" at the VERY VERY LEAST...
It's been too long, it's been too long...
I'm no Xenomania loon myself, but RB you are SORELY missing out here. It seems the relentless praise this gets has put you off... have a proper listen, because, in this case, the praise is ENTIRELY JUSTIFIED and THEN SOME.
If the AMAZING tune, FABULOUS hooks ("aiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiai WONDER") and BONKERS production don't get you, the FABULOUSLY and RELENTLESSLY BLEAK lyrics should. It's UTTER MISERY set to an AMAZING POP TUNE. And quite frankly things don't get much better than THAT.

I'm just listening to a collection of their b-sides that I forgot I had. Teenage Dirtbag?!![]()

I LOVE their version of Sacred Trust. It's just so FESTIVE.
I miss the Nadine who sang this, not that tranny impersonator.
I voted for "Just about the same" but I think I MARGINALLY prefer the Aloud version at this stage as it sounds "fuller" in the chorus somehow.
Still, it's MARVELLOUS. It could only have been BETTERED by keeping its original title of "Memory Of You (Japan)" as a "Singapore" follow up![]()
It's been too long, it's been too long...
But OF COURSE this is, and has ALWAYS been, an ELEVEN OUT OF TEN MOMENT.
