Invite stress. People accepting when they previously declined the save the dates, people inviting plus ones without asking, people asking to camp who werent on the camping list, awkwardness with people who've got partners we dont know who aren't invited to the meal.... Arrrrgh! Why can't people just be pleased they are invited at all without putting us in awkward situations??

    I hate this.

Mine is 3 weeks today but I'll be legally married in 2 weeks 2 days.

I want to say I'm not stressed out, cos I pride myself on being pretty organised and quite a calm person but the enormity of everything is quite daunting and there is just so much to do I'm having sleepless nights.

We've chosen the booze for our bar now - we're having a cocktail menu too. So exciting.

Still need to hire a bar though. d'oh.

You know what, the only reason I'm stressed is because of family. I can organize everything, but I can't make family not oftend each other ( even if it not intentional).

I'm getting stressed about the fact we're over on numbers and people have been offended that we've not extended dinner invites automatically to a few partners that we don't know. I didn't think people would actually make a thing of it but they have and I resent the fact I'm being made to feel bad by my so called friends. It's only 4 or 5 people but they have all said something that has made me feel awkward.

About 3 others have asked for partners to come when they've been invited as singles... Actually "told" us they were bringing partners and we've had to make an awkward phone call. It's only for the day event that numbers are restricted.

My mum seems to have chilled out. Thank god.

I am totally having Pachelbel's Canon played by a string quartet, I don't care how cliched it is

I don't care if anything is cliched - if that's what you want then that's what you should have! I just think it's shit when people just go with the flow because they think that is what is expected of them... or indeed, that's what IS expected of them.

I think my family know better by now than to even suggest I go with something traditional for traditions sake... having said that, I would still like to go down the aisle to something classical. I'm thinking Spring from Vivalidi's four seasons? Canon in D is also beautiful.

I don't know about cliched but mine is very sad and geeky. I don't give a shit what other people think, and to be honest only about 4 people at the wedding besides me and Kelvin will know where the music is from.
It's this for those who are interested (I'm entering from 12 secs in)
Spoiler: Actually, all my ceremony music is very geeky and sad:

I honestly went through so many suggestions on wedding sites of songs I should have and all of them were totally not ME/US.

I came to the conclusion that I am not a "typical" bride. I've not been dreaming about this day since I was 5 (like I am apparently supposed to) so I'm not having "typical" music. I picked something that sums up us and our relationship. (we've been together 8 years and almost 6 of those we have played WoW together)

I'm home alone this weekend so I'm going to write my vows, speech and write out my bridesmaid thank you cards and wedding present to Ed. I'm expecting mucho tears. Hoping to get them all out on my own rather than in front of everyone.

It's not going to happen though.

I know these last few months are going to whizz past for me now! I think in some ways it will be nice when it's over, I think it's beginning to take it's toll on everyone, my mum was saying tonight just how much her back hurts from all the cleaning and stuff she's been doing recently

I can't tell you just how much I was taken by surprise at how stressful the last week has been. I've never been so consumed by anything...and I'm usually a very chilled out person and I'm really organised too!

Yeah, I am also looking forward to it being over. I would like my life back now.

I'n trying to be as organised as I can now so the last two weeks aren't too much. I went to a friends wedding recently and all she/her hubby said to me at the reception was 'I'm so tired, just need to sleep. Can't wait till the first dance is over and then it's all done'. I don't want to be like that on my day!

Trouble is doesn't matter how organised you are, the last two weeks are still the last two weeks i.e. the culmination of everything!

Registry office on Monday morning and then from Tuesday I'll be busy putting it all together and making it happen.
