NOW WHERE'S THAT WHITNEY GIF?Whitney - best known for such hits as I Will Always Love You and My Love Is Your Love - has reportedly been approached by show bosses and Simon Cowell about taking part in the show, following the departure of judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.
And according to the Hollywood Reporter, she is said to be seriously considering the offer.
The singer is the latest in a string of female artists who have been tipped to become judges - with recent rumours suggesting Cowell had offered Beyonce $100m for a three-year deal on the show.
Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Mariah Carey are others who have also been linked to the panel.
Cowell announced a shake-up of the show earlier this month when he revealed that Scherzinger and Abdul would not be returning, along with the show's presenter Steve Jones.
So far, record producer LA Reid is the only judge who has confirmed he will be back for a second series.
