    mad White Heat (BBC2)

Some sort of 1960s to the present day drama with a very good cast. I don't know much, but i know i love you like the look of the trailer -

As well as the ones shown in that, there's also apparently Dames Lyndsay Duncan, Tamsin Grieg and Jessica Hynes. I wonder who'll get AIDs.

I've seen a trailer for this quite a few times, they seem to be pushing it quite hard. I 'm expecting to like it lots.

Did you watch it fetch? I've just caught up and am definitely on the fence right now.

Like i REALLY like the idea and the lowkey mystery side to things, and i do like a lot of the cast, but some of the dialogue and plotting was stupidly clunky i thought. It seemed a bit too keen to tick socio-political ideas/moments of history off a list rather than just let the characters live realistically in the moment, which kept bringing me out of things a bit. But i still quite enjoyed it on the whole and will be back for ep2.

ALSO, if adorable brummy closet case boy doesn't want people to know his SORDID SECRET, then he really shouldn't suck someone off upstairs in the middle of a party, when there's no lock on the door and loads of people milling about. Talk about stupid. He may as well have just done it in the kitchen by the bowl of punch.

And what a pity that poor Claire Foy had that brain accident that made her uncapable of showing much emotion SO SAD. I liked the other students though, and the grownups.

Yes and I agree with pretty much all you have said, especially about the idiot gay and his wide open closet. I didn't think Claire Foy was too bad, though I don't quite understand just how in demand she seems to be at the moment and how she finds the time for it all. Sam Claflin wasn't very good but that was probably at least in part to the previously mentioned clunky dialogue.

I'm quite intrigued to see which one is dead and how, and I liked the feel of it as a whole, so I'll definitely be carrying on.

I quite fancied this, but it was ruled out as it may have some EMOTIONAL CONTENT, and we're not allowed that in our TELEVISUAL VIEWING
    And oh...
    Oh HOW MANY YEARS
    Is it NOW Maurice?

Half of them are quite repressed, if that helps. If Mr W fastforwards through and just stops to watch the two ethnics, the big lass, and the geordie boy he'll be good to go.

Anyway i REALLY REALLY LIKED tonight's. It just shot by. I love the Tamsin Greig storyline, and really the whole cast are very good all round i thought (particularly Orla, Lily, Victor and Jay). And i thought Claire Foy did much much better (i thought she was pitch perfect in that phonecall scene). Next week's looks really good too.

I'm scared to glance on imdb or the like to see which other characters have had older versions cast. I only knew about the three we've already had so i'm nicely in the dark. I quite hope it's Claflin's character dead but i guess that might be too obvious.

I thought the last episode of this was really good, though it did make me feel very sad. The person who died was the person I really didn't want it to be.
