Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of Two (PS3/360/Wii)

A sequel had already been all-but confirmed in the last few months but it's not been officially unveiled, with co-op play and a fixed camera (we'll see about that...) as well as a focus on musicals (?) I'm actually not against another Epic Mickey game as long as it is actually an improvement on the last one in terms of actually working as opposed to being a few good ideas prevented from working properly by a broken game engine.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two has been confirmed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.

According to producer Warren Spector, the game will feature voice acting for every character. More interestingly, it will be a musical.

"I'm such a geek about musicals," Spector told The Associated Press. "I love the co-op and next-gen stuff, but for me, when a character breaks into song, which they do on a regular basis in this game, it's magic."

Epic Mickey 2 was previously revealed by a Disney newsletter and survey, but details such as online co-op have now been confirmed. According to Spector, "It's drop-in, drop-out co-op. You can sit down at any time with a friend who is playing as Mickey, and you can take control of Oswald. If you're playing as a single player, Oswald will be there every second of the game. He's not just a multiplayer character. He's a helper, whether you're playing alone or with a friend or family member."

Spector added that the game's camera has been drastically changed since the first Epic Mickey. "We've had a team working on the camera from literally the day we finished the first game," he said. "They'll be working on it until the day we ship the second game. [There have been] over 1,000 specific changes made to the camera. Our goal is that you will not have to touch the manual camera controls even once to play through the main story path of this game."

Plot details for the game haven't been confirmed beyond the fact that it will still take place in Wasteland. Spector noted that players will "explore previously unseen Wasteland realms."

"There's always been one part of the [Disney] parks that I've always wanted to get into Wasteland," said Spector. "Frontierland has changed so much since it started. There's so much forgotten history there, so Frontierland is going to get a pretty good exploration this time around, plus some other places that we'll keep secret for now."
