Oh it would destroy me if I found that out - especially if they release a new form factor as rumoured![]()
I'd just get one now. Yes a new one might come out but unless you are going to play games on it or absolutely fill the hard drive, I doubt you'll see the benefits to the point of being THAT annoyed.

”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
well you are who you are, PP. VoR is just VoR
GET IT
I'd kick myself more if new models came out and the price of the current models went down. I think like VoR, I'm going to wait. I know it's unlikely to happen, but I'm in no massive hurry.
is it possible that they'd wait with the new build till around the release of Mountain Lion?
Apparently a lot of places have run out of stock and Apple aren't shipping out any more existing models. It might have something to do with the release of intel's new ivy bridge chip.
BIG RONS FINGER ON THE PULSE
Take your nose off my keyboard.
Right - May's here, so I'm booking my Apple appointment...... NOW!
Errr... question. Do the MacBook Air owners find they ever miss having a CD Drive? I idiotically only just realised there isn't one.![]()
I don't have one but the only CD's I've ever had to put in are when to burn a disc.

Unless I get back into The Sims, that's the only time I can ever imagine needing one, but I do like to do that quite a lot as I prefer physicals. So yeah, think I'm going for a pro.
The next problem I'm having is that I'm quite tempted by £80 for an extra 250GB storage. If I have 750GB that'll be like infinite storage for me, and I'd never ever ever have to worry about external anythings.
I really know I don't need 750GB though. Urgh - so difficult.
I'd spend the extra money on an increased pixel size (which I did) rather than the increased storage.

I HAVE MY MAC! <3
Thanks to all who helped me make up my mind. I went for the 13 inch () MacBook Pro, and I love love love love it. I still have a LOT to get used to, so I may bore you all to tears with questions in here.
Like this one: I can download Google Chrome for it right?
Where are you at with your purchase VoR?
Yay I'm glad you're enjoying it!

you might wanna check out some of the threads in the forum, I think some of us posted about recommendable apps somewhere
Get Dropbox now and use it as a replacement for your Documents folder. The amount of times I've been elsewhere and thought "If I only had that file" and realised it's on Dropbox.
Get used to the swipes. Especially three fingers up and three down.
Quick view is your friend. Space bar over most files to see an instant view without having to open the actual program.

Ooh thanks PP!![]()
I know but I've never really bothered because I couldn't be arsed to do the right click first
it's genius for all those indistinguishable pdf files that clog up your Download folder
I also have my folders sorted this way… You can get the menu you by right-clicking in a folder selecting "Show View Options"
View as columns
Arrange by kind
Sort by name

What else do I know… If you want to do a quick sum
Press cmd + spacebar to bring up Spotlight and then you can do simple sums in there.

I did. The rumour said "end of April", and I figured in the end that would it really change my mind about what I wanted?
Thanks for all the tips PP. The space bar sounds very useful. I'll have to configure my mousepad to allow right-clicking. That was one thing I was struggling with last night!
My right click is a press with two fingers but I guess it's whatever works for you. I do find it very easy and hate going back to restriction of having to click a defined "right button" when I'm used to do doing it anywhere on the trackpad.
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
I just two fingers too, I just call it a right click
The next chance of a possible update is the Apple WWDC starting June 11th. It's really just a guessing game. When they announce it they release it.
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
Oh for God's sake.
I just KNOW the week after I order it they'll release the new version.
really VoR, with your technical needs it's no biggie if they do!
I know but I have a bit of an obsessive compulsive thing about always needing the best version of something. It's the same reason I always buy the 'deluxe' versions of CDs even if the bonus tracks are shit.
It'll just GNAW AT ME...![]()
Oh VoR, even if you do get the 'updated' version, they'll only update it again in 6 months. JUST BUT IT!
I think I will. It's a BITCH not having a laptop at home. I have so much TV I need to catch up on.
