Loving "Change" and "Scripture"
it's all very experimental and leftfield so it hasn't hit me yet, but might grow. At least she's doing something different. Sounds like Gaelle in places
I liked "Faith" too until the synths kicked in![]()
i just posted about her in the recommendations thread but she more than deserves a thread
ex-danity kane, ex-dirty money, she's getting compared to brandy (vocally) but i get more of a jazmine sullivan vibe myself and even a bit of k-row at moments strangely enough
at any rate girl got vox
i love the ep, which is more of an album if you ask me with 8 (pretty varied, absolutely max) songs and two intro/outros
i can't wait for moopy to lose its collective shit over it
the lead single and first video is the very urban bombs with its hallmark run the world video but there's so much more of note on the album
the dark and relentless opener black lipstick
something amazing for the moopy masses - change
probably the most pop moment faith which explodes into something very current (a bit too calvin harris for my taste)
the hypnotic swayer scripture subtly borrows the hallelujah bit from sade's pearls
seriously i could post all of them

i knew those were the two you'd like, i got the gaelle as well from change
i've only listened to it twice but the tracks have really started to pop
wouldn't really call it leftfield but it is definitely different from the majority of the stuff out there and thank god for that

oooh thanks AM
cat, hat; in French, chat, chapeau in Spanish, el gato in a sombrero.
i guess she ran out of money - this is the really bad video for the otherwise excellent automatic

so, her proper debut album came out after this and another ep whiteout
it's called goldenheart and it's a bit long which is kinda chore-y but there are a few tracks i'm loving already
break of dawn is my early fave
this is '86 - please ignore the drama/expressive arts student video
