I still don't know why you need to quit your job so you can take a day off to go to an audition.

Is the fact this bloke's brother is in Waterloo Road a SOB STORY?

She went through yesterday and sent Deniece back to being a system and anti-depressant addict.

It was probably a day's casual work or something.

I don't like him, and i've no problem with the first Matt Cardle.

SHE actually spelled it differently from in the Five Star days when appearing on this show (according to Wikipedia at least)

Speaking of concerts the BEP tour supporting The E.N.D album was totally the best thing ever.

Isn't it just basically X Factor with a higher sense of its own entitlement next week?

Cassius vs dat Welsh lad - I REALLY like Cassius. And by that I mean I fancy him. I never got the fuss over that song but it was a fine perf.

Barbara vs Leanne - Is Cerys Matthews' face FROZEN or what? TERRIFYING! Okay this is a proper SING OFF. Every time I think one's destroying the other it all flips. FAB STUFF. OMG WILL. ok I'm not outraged about that, Babs took it well.

Frances vs Kate - Well she had the vocal edge but Kate was so lovely. I hope she doesn't get depressed and obese now.

Aleks vs Emmy - Adorable lifeguard vs children's fucking entertainer with actual murder in her eyes. I know who I'M rooting for. Oh god this is bloody awful. Oh my GOD! That was like they were singing two different songs which just happened to have the same words! I'm glad he chose Aleks for superficial reasons but Danny blatantly just wants to find a mini-me out of this show.

Ben vs Ruth-Ann - This guy's jazz hands need to do one. FUCK at that ruthless edit job! Right call with quaint Ruth-Ann obv.

Matt & Sueleen vs Lindsey - SUELEEN? Did she have lezzer mums? I'm loving her pob, she looks dope. Is this the one where all the under 50s go for a piss? The only thing keeping my attention is the look of slight mania in Lindsey's eyes. Probably the right call, but I hope Matt dies and Sueleen decides to bravely soldier on. SOLO.

Murray vs Hannah - this girl looks so much older than she is. Lose dem BANGS! Oh I was thinking somebody should sing this. Oh Murray looks bloody awkward. But also kind of hot for an older guy. Meh overall

Indie & Pixie vs Beccy - OMG she's murdering these stuck up bitches! What a hero!

Adam vs Denise - she is simply not good enough at this stage. Pub karaoke. He's better (and rather tasty to boot). Oh it's another 60 second TASTER.

Sophie vs J Marie - I like Sophie but why is she STILL playing the tiny hometown card? it's the worst sympathy play of them all! Invent a dead dog or something. Oh dear Sophie forgot the words TWICE? 'J' Marie is obviously the better vocalist and she wants it so VERY badly. Will is very sensitive bless him. Sophie needs to really WORK on that voice.

David vs John James - Both VERY GOOD to my surprise. I wanted John James to get it though because his sob story (possible last chance, not Waterloo Road brother) won me over.

In other news Danny O'Donoghue I think you're beautiful but SORT THAT MULLET OUT

Do they have a special guest performing on the live shows like the X Factor or is it just the judges?

I just read that each of them only loses one act in the first live shows. On the US one they started with six, lost two a piece for the first 2 weeks and then go into the semi finals with a total of 8 contestants. I'd rather we breezed through like that than dragged it out...
