So the title track from the Circus album is second runner up, not a bad result considering most maintain that it has no proper chorus. For me it's all about the drama in the verses, definitely a comeback track. And of course the early 2000s MTV-style breakdown near the end.

Really? Is this what it comes down to?

it's not an easy choice for me. But "Womanizer" is my choice Britney song of the moment (at least on this album, I've been in a decidedly IN THE ZONE mood lately).
"If U Seek Amy" is also the best video from the entire album, the slutting around the house, oiled and pushed up tits, was the PERFECT compensation for her seemingly incapability of dancing in the past few years.
Having re-watched the 'If U Seek Amy' video, she actually does look STUNNING and vaguely sexy in parts of it, I just don't think the latter part of the video really WORKS in relation to the rest of the song. The Fox News spoof was pretty GOOD but I guess it was lost on a lot of people.
Please, it's not like Britney got it either.

I remember at the time the actual Fox News piece on the song's innuendo said Britney is "clearly a great lyricist" with absolutely no irony.
It's also how she MOVES. It's obviously not dancing per se but she seems to have some degree of self awareness of her body movement that really works with the skanky vibe of the video/song. When you compare the 'sex appeal' in the video with how she is in the "3", "Womanizer" etc videos, she's so much more natural and less awkward in "Amy". I'm surprised at some of the comments. Two absolute 11/10 moments and the obvious two to be in the finale.
I LOVE Amy to death, but have to go with Womanizer just.
Well we've certainly got a RESULT, but I'm not sure where to go next. I have the inclination to be comprehensive and do the debut album but have more people than Slave & I even heard it in its entirety to get enough votes?Or perhaps we should just do a single poll asking people to vote for their favorites and see what gets the most votes?
And then there's Femme Fatale. Jark started a survivor for it not all that long ago but never finished it.

It's obviously time for the championship round. Take all of the winning songs (let's just assume ...Baby One More Time wins because I can't bring myself to give Email My Heart a re-listen) and stage a showpiece, Cheetos-sponsored glittering event. And watch And Then We Kiss come out on top, hopefully.
Babies have been CONCEIVED and BORN since the last round of that survivor I'm pretty sure.
I was thinking of having a SECOND CHANCE survivor too for all the runner-ups... but I guess for ...Baby One More Time we could just do a 'vote for your favorite song' type thing so it's at least somewhat HONEST. Besides there's a slight chance of "Born to Make You Happy" being a dark horse.
