Thus far the only cancellations I've been worried about have been: Alcatraz, Terra Nova and Awake. I imagine there might be a few more adding to that though with quite a few shows I like teetering on the edge.

GCB DEAD
Sad, but expected.
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
Is there any news on CSI: Miami and New York? Both have had shorter seasons which leads me to believe they're being axed. The way so many things seem to be wrapping up in New York makes me think so too.
Is Whitney actually getting decent ratings then? I watched the first couple episodes and was pretty unimpressed and everyone seemed to dislike it more strongly than I did. Was that Chelsea Handler show really poor? I never actually bothered

Awww it was good but not that good, i'm worried about Don't Trust The Bitch because that's hilarious and still not renewed.
Nothing yet but one of them is expected to be cancelled yet they said the same thing last year so who knows.Originally Posted by Rhythmbandit
Average ratings at best but i guess they want to keep her around (the same can be said about Up All Night and the cast), i didn't watch past the first two or three episodes it was all so dated and laugh tracks annoy the shit out of me. Are You There Chelsea was terrible , she herself admitted that the first few episodes were bad but said they got better near the end which they didn't.Originally Posted by POP!

Now Apt. 23 would be a BIG LOSS if it gets cancelled, although the ratings have been quite good so I still expect to see it renewed, even if its not for a full 22 episode season.

Are shorter running seasons becoming more common on US TV, or is it just my awareness of them has increased?
they have increased either to please the fans (Chuck, Fringe, Community) where the network decides to give the show a proper send off or to test the waters but the ones that return after a short season usually get a full pick up.
Also added the ABC pick ups which all seem dire apart from the widow show.

It's going to be SUPER FUN watching Vanessa Williams play yet another Wilhelmina clone on 666![]()

Jesus wept, looking at that list of NBC pickups, is it any wonder the network struggles these days?
Nice to see Fringe getting the opportunity to end properly. If it goes out well I might actually pick up the boxset and watch it finally.
Shame about Awake, not that I watched it, but it was meant to actually be very good.
ABC on a roll, although a bit unfair how they just shoved aside Cougar Town and then dropped it after 2 very successful years, talk about losing interest fast. That said, it really isn't that funny.
CBS really does have it easy. Hardly has to worry about cancellations, just throw in mind numbing procedurals or base comedies every couple of years and keep the rabble following... Although what they've done with BBT is nothing short of amazing to be fair. That show launched on a whimper four years ago and wasn't even that good. Look at it now...
To be fair to CBS, amidst the sea of generic (and shit) cop/procedural shows both Person Of Interest and The Good Wife are brilliant.
Also ABC has cancelled: Missing, Pan Am and The River too - none of which are remotely surprising. That just leaves Body Of Proof I think, there's been a bit of talk about it perhaps getting a 3rd season though so we shall see.
'Sue, did the President call?' ... 'No' Last.fm
Apparently Body of Proof is a hit overseas![]()
Don't trust the B renewed so is Body of Proof and Private Practice.
At least Jeri Ryan has got herself a 3rd season of something at least
13 episodes seems like a good move for BoP, if they keep it airing after DWTS it should hold around the 2.0 mark hopefully, it was when it was airing without that lead in that it collapsed to the 1.4-1.6's it was getting mid season.

I can't get into Body of Proof. The premise is interesting but Dana Delaney's character is completely unlikeable and the patronising way in which she delivers her lines is off-putting.
Late in S2 there was a 'plague' episode which saw Megan tell someone who had researched the disease for 10 YEARS and was a professional biological crisis manager how to do his job
Thinking about it though, with 13 episodes that would bring it to 42 total, so still 2 full seasons off syndication levels and in all honesty if it ambles on beyond S3 I think everyone will be rather AGOG. So it is rather an odd move from that point of view.

Added the CBS pick ups which apart from Vegas all sound awful especially the two sitcoms. Also Twitter is telling me that csi:Miami has been cancelled.
Vegas does sound rather good though. I like a good high budget period drama![]()

This will be the last Private Practice wont it. Shame I quite liked it.
