I think we knew Maddy couldn't keep quiet for long. What a fame-seeking bitch, like we all suspected.
Interesting blog and pictures.

Reflected onto the wet pavement, can you see what I see?
Poor brave Martha has been BANNED from taking the photos by her local council.
and people wonder why our children are dumb as fuckif that's the brain fuel they get no wonder they have the IQ of a fish finger

I hope Argyll and Bute get it both barrels today over this, such spoilsports. Appparently her school were supportive of the blog.
The blog wasn't critical though was it? I thought most of the food on there look alright, and there were only a few shit ones. Plus kids from all over the world were sending pictures of their lunch too, and it was all genuinely interesting.
Even the newspapers writing about it seem to think it was a critical blog but if you actually read it she seems to enjoy most of it.

Yeah, I don't think she set out with an agenda or anything (what 9 year old would?). It was all very positive, but some of the crap food has been highlighted by fairly prolific journalists like Jay Rayner and it's that sort of negative attention the council are obviously try to stamp out. Fools.
I don't get the '17 seconds! 20 seconds! 3 seconds!' notes

Who WROTE THAT? I know it's aimed at the media but it reads like a full on assault at a 9-year old girl and seems to suggest she's a liar.
Pupils can have as much salad and bread as they want. Salad, vegetables, fruit, yoghurt and cheese options are available every day. These are standing options and are not a result of any changes in response to the blog site.

Aww, she's so cute.I'd really like to know where the chicken comes from so I am going to write to the lady in charge to ask. I know it comes from a hen but I'd like to know where the hen lived.

Due to public outcry the council has now lifted the ban![]()
she'll probably grow up to be anorexic or bulimic if she already has such an obsession with FOOD.
It's obviously the amount of food she's CHOSEN for herself.
shit stirring little COW.
She's only 9! Small children don't eat much food!
Fat kids do! I USED TO BE ONE![]()

Sure, but the hamburger and fish sticks accompanied by some veggies, aka 3 thin slices of cucumber, is kind of ridiculous. It's the Paula Deen mindset of I'll just prepare some tasty fried, simple carbs and then garnish it with a mint leaf so it's NUTRITIOUS. No it is NOT
The only thing I am concerned about there is the amount of sweetcorn - surely she has eaten some she can't have been given that little
We used to have exactly the same type of pizza in primary school dinners - they must make them all the same!
I quite liked school dinners, some of it was shit, but some was quite nice!

I have a real issue with square pizza. You just know a pizza is going to taste like cardboard if it has four edges.

I was going to say - 9 year olds can have a huge appetite from my experience. Obviously each child is different
Some of them will eat little, but like they might have one burger, with a fair bit of salad and veg, then we would have something like fruit and a chocolate biscuit for pudding. But it's certainly more than is on that plate!

The portions at our school were definitely bigger than that, but we never got ICE LOLLIES or anything. Usually semolina/rice pudding and jam... not that I complained about that. We were also allowed seconds when it was going as well. Oh, the GLORY of the BOOM YEARS.
In terms of portion sizes, I really think it varies by the child. My little cousin is nine and she is still really quite a fussy eater and eats small portions. She's quite active as well... I don't understand how she isn't starving half the time.
