Clearly a SHOUT OUT to her fanbase there
Not sure what she's doing in a press interview with VANILLA ICE but she confirms both the album and single title here:
Clearly a SHOUT OUT to her fanbase there
Rave paint's not cool, kids.
i love a bit of cici but all i can think of when i read her name these days is rihanna's bitchy 'what is this stage you speak of?' snap
l'm like a dog to get you
"Sweat" has made its way online:
Nail in the coffin. Well that's a bit dramatic but top 40 radio will not play this... could see it getting some urban play but "Ride" being a top 3 R&B/hip hop hit didn't do a thing for its parent album.
I sound like aketchupmoney, somebody stop me

New song which is actually sort of ALRIGHT
I really thought at the start of the bridge she says "I, I, I'm living on borrowed time" but a quick google tells me shes not
Still we have the lyric "I don't know when my nexthit'smove's coming"
Rave paint's not cool, kids.
This is much MUCH better. Poppier and more radio friendly than Sweat

Another newly leaked song: "Sophomore"
Quite good for what's probably going to be an album track / buzz single
evrything surrounding Ciara ends up being relegated to BUZZ status![]()

It basically sounds like every other Ciara ballad ever doesn't it? And that's why she's about as relevant as soggy chips. Bitch simply has not managed to evolve with the times. In fairness it's a struggle all R&B artists who aren't willing to hop on the europop bandwagon face but some plug away quietly and maintain enough fanbase interest to survive. Ciara's buzz just COLLAPSED.
kyoko, it's me
Yeah it's not really a game changer for her is it. But I think she's past the point of getting a certifiable pop hit again. So I think the best she can hope for is an R&B hit and another mediocre selling album.
The song itself doesn't wow me but it sounds like a grower and the melody kind of reminds me of a 90s Janet track that I can't quite pinpoint... maybe "Again" or something a little more obscure?
I think one problem is that she's never really developed her own identity as an artist and always by association. It's quite telling that every one of her eight top tens include flavor of the month rappers and such.
From Muumuse
1. “I’m Out” (featuring Nicki Minaj)
2. “Sophomore”
3. “Body Party” (Mike WiLL Made It)
4. “Keep on Lookin’”
5. “Read My Lips”
6. “Where You Go” (feat. Future)
7. “Super Turnt Up” (feat. Ciara)
8. “DUI”
9. “Livin’ It Up”
10. “Overdose”
As you can see, “Sweat,” “Sorry” and “Got Me Good”—the album’s three “buzz singles”—did not make the final cut.![]()

Sweat is an Europe bonus track and Got Me Good is a Japanese bonus track.
QUEEN OF BONUSES!

It's JAI HO all over again. Like Nicole, she's gotten so tired of being STAPLED to the flop Ciara that she has to strike out on her OWN as a solo artisté (again)
I'm disappointed Got Me Good isn't on the album though. It's still getting requisite spins chez moi.
Body Party somehow #35 on the Hot 100making it her biggest 'hit' since Love Sex Magic in 2009

it's her most BORING song

I LOVE IT now. Her best single since "Promise", hands down. And I believe its strong debut is primarily due to an influx in YouTube/VEVO views that came with the video's premiere.
And this is the said video:
God that youtube chart change ANNOYS ME.
Body Party actually seems to be happening at urban radio. She reminds me so much of Janet in the video.
I've decided I quite LIKE her again. The song is decent and it's nice to see an R&B artist refusing to sell out to europop for an easy hit.

she doesn't have the range for europop, that's why![]()

I feel like this will be a huge R&B Summer hit with some minor pop crossover success that will translate into negligible album sales a la K-Ro's "Motivation"![]()
And I must say, she does come across very well in interviews:
I've never really thought of her as beautiful until this time around either.
"I'm Out", the Nicki Minaj feature, is a bit crap.
It's the next single, apparently.
i had a mild moment to body party a couple of weeks ago, it's good but by god i hate that video
i'm out is a bit hard to decide for me with the minaj distraction, but i definitely don't mind it on first listen

Ooh

rather fab leaked album track

Oh that is quite the groove. "Somebodeh call the doctor, somebodeh call the doctor (DOCtor, DAWKter)"
Will this album actually be GOOD?
I'm thinking so, POP. I'm thinking so.
Super Turnt Up
