    EURO 2012

    Starting today

    Will Spain win again?

Surely there must be some fans here.

I've been waiting for ever for this to start. Will be following Germany mostly and keeping a keen eye on England and Ireland.

Although the whole thing looks likely to be overshadowed by the racist cunts.

I think the racism thing won't play out much at all. The British press getting their knickers in a twist, AGAIN

I wouldn't have thought that there will be appreciably more racism than there is at any match in Eastern Europe, but I'd imagine that we can expect to hear a lot about it from the British press.

I'm tipping Germany for the win, with Spain, Netherlands and Russia, the other possible contenders.

I think Spain will win. Germany will surprisingly go out in the quarters.

    Spain vs Holland final.

    Innocent until proven guilty, Madison.

For the time being, he's just an alleged racist cunt.

I don't believe in innocent till proven guilty.

We lock up alleged murderers until their trial/conviction without a qualm. Why can't we boot someone off a football team?

    Well it's already started:

BBC: Euro 2012 - Uefa confirms 'isolated racist chanting' towards Dutch

Uefa has confirmed there were "isolated incidents of racist chanting" aimed at Netherlands players during an open training session.

But the governing body has not revealed whether it is investigating the incident in Krakow, Poland.

Captain Mark van Bommel said monkey chants were aimed at team-mates.

"Should such behaviour happen at further training sessions, Uefa would evaluate the operational measures to be taken to protect players," Uefa said.

Why can't there just be a giant "ignore" button? They'd soon go away.

Booing every time Poland is not in possession of the ball? I hope they lose.

Poland are quite hot as a team- I hate myself for being so gay but they REALLY are!

    Anyhow, they're all over Greece...

That was surprising after the first half. I predicted 1-0 so I'm off to a bad start.

What a boring opening match. I hope both Poland and Greece don't qualify.

I didn't like the Polish fans, but I predicted they would win in our family poule.

I can't see tomorrow's match because my boyfriend's parents celebrate their 60th birthday. I don't really mind, but what a strange thing to do. Soccer is for Dutch people what Eurovision is for Swedish people.

Russia potential dark horses? Czech republic aren't exactly a disaster team.

Definite dark horses. They were semi-finalists last time around.

I've paid no attention to the qualifying rounds at all. I've only just found out Denmark did better than Portugal.

Are the BBC really not in the host nations but coming from a studio instead? It looks so poor compared to ITV's quite lovely outdoor studio.

I wish they'd start spending some fucking money.

Sorry, the Czech were a bit of a disaster team tonight. Russia played fairly well but the amount of silly errors in the midfield from the Czech side was quite appalling.

BAFFLED as to how Poland managed to SHANK the whole thing away so dreadfully and allowing Greece back into the game like that despite Greece being down a man for over 50 minutes and almost letting them win it.

Mind, Group A definitely the weak link looking at the four groups. I had Russia down as winners of the group from the get-go.

Where are the Germans thinking they can finish?

It must be nice to think "Yeah we've got a decent stab at this"

Portugal's last two qualifying campaigns have been really odd. Given their stature you'd expect them to be group winners but they stuggled to qualify for the last World Cup and for this. Strangely they placed second both times in their group just behind Denmark, then were drawn against Bosnia-Herzegovina successive times in the playoffs.

I really think they're going to be squeezed out in the group stage against the likes of Germany and Netherlands.

I definitely hope so. It's them or us I think. And I wouldn't rule out Denmark either.

Yup, we kinda had that for the past two tournaments already and did quite well, indeed.

There's an AWFUL lot of pressure on the team though, I think, from both media and the public.

I for one have us down for the semis again but that's about as far as I'm going to look, especially considering we've got the most difficult group to get though, IMO anyways.

I enjoyed the Russia v Czech Republic game, mainly for HOWARD WEBB but the Russians were pretty damn good. I reckon they'll make the final four.

I didn't really see it, but it wouldn't surprise me. If we go out now (which is likely) at least I can say what all the Eurovision haters say all the time: We'll never win, so we should just stop competing and save the money.

Really poor from the Dutch. Van Persie looked like a different player to the one I've been watching in the Premier League all year.
