Of course, but it's so overplayed. It needs remixes to give people a break from the same edit. The rest of her catalogue is so patchy. The only other song I like from her is a low-key non-album track called He Loves Me 2. Stoopid was her last single as far as I'm aware. I used to get her confused with Jackée Harry (Sister Sister).

Ridiculously happy memories of FIRST LOVE

I can still remember EXACTLY where and when I was when I first heard it.

A classic. I still hold it in high regard as one of the best dance/pop singles of the last 20 years.

I DO like the lyric "with brown coco skin and curly black hair..."

As a 12 year old I interpreted it as ANTI-INTERRACIAL.

It's ot a favourite. I was AGOG to discover recently that it uses the same sample as "Sweet Harmony" by Liquid. I'd NEVER noticed before despite hearing it probably a million times.

I love it but it was sooooo overplayed I got a bit bored. I also like the 7" mix.

We got a love thang and Keep on walkin' are 10/10 too.

'I Will Survive' is obviously the Gay National Anthem. This is our 'Jerusalem'.

I cannot STAND I Will Survive and as gay guys go I'm pretty gay. Perhaps the label that it's this huge gay anthem is what puts me off it the most. I did love it in The Comeback mind you.

I'm sorry, but it's fucking ASTONISHING, still. Up there with "Show Me Love" as the two piano house songs of my ENTIRE WORLD

I was about to say... I always clump these two together. Show Me Love is better. But this is still ace.

We had a ridiculous RAVE OFF to "Show Me Love" on the Jubilee weekend as there was a big outdoor 2 day festival thing and we basically took over the entire of one of the tents. They were playing all "cool" indie stuff for the most part and everyone was dancing merrily but when "Show Me Love" kicked in, the place went FUCKING MENTAL

Of course, Liquid used it to MUCH greater effect.

I have to disagree with you here, dear Katy. My favourite version was the 7" mix that was played in the US radio stations back in the day. The beginning is so much better, and the rap fits perfectly. Definitely my favorite version, even when it's totally forgotten (the European 7" mix has no rap) and it took me ages to find it. They are all 10/10 anyway.
