Do you know some sales figures? Surely Maroon 5 will finally score their first number 1.

Just shy of 80k, with Cherly on roughly half that.

She was at 90k at this point last week, wasn't she?

Just checked it was 97k. I don't think Maroon 5 will top that.

Also Cherly's album has sold 'over 20k' but she's still 3k behind Bieber.

3k is not that much. I think she can do it.

Will be a comedown in sales, mind. I imagine around 40-50k at this rate.

Still, it's better than what #1's have been selling lately.

Cherly's album is down to £4.99 on Amazon now, so that might aid her cause. Bieber's has been £4.99 since release.

or because he doesn't seem as ubiquitous lately.

of all the reductive pop stars out there today, Cheryl for me is the worst because she ONLY has a career because she's pretty. She has literally NOTHING ELSE TO OFFER. I'd rather Pixie Lott got to number one, and she's DREADFUL.

    COME ON BIEBER

She didn't really close the gap between Tuesday & Wednesday even though she had some signings in Newcastle on Tuesday so I'm hopeful that he can hold her off.

    shocked

Is Cherly losing to Biebs not quite a big shock? I didn't know he anywhere NEAR had it in him. Expecially when he's never had a number one, most of his singles bomb, and kiddy pop acts tend to do worse on the albums chart.

Anyway i want her to win, because he seems like a little brat.

I wouldn't be hugely surprised if he plummeted next week. Still, I'm surprised that either Cheryl's album isn't appealing to anybody beyond her fanbase, or Bieber's album is.

Maybe Cheryl's fans have WISED UP after her last album and are strictly sticking to the singles from now on?

This album is much better than Messy Little Raindrops though.

I suspect the only reason I HAVEN'T mustered up the will to download the latest Cherly opus is because of how crap the last album was. "Call My Name" is phenomenal in of itself but surely none of that is down to her and I'm not sure I can bother with 20 tracks or however long the deluxe is.
