Foundations was utterly brilliant. Everything else she's done (apart from We Get On and Do Wah Doo) has been utter dreck.
The poor man's Lily Allen is getting a fair bit of attention at the moment for basically going mad and ruining her career.
I actually forgot how MASSIVE this song was. Five non-consecutive weeks at #2.
I like it a lot, it is deceptively fragile and quite touching really.
However her followup single Mouthwash was SO SO bad. Worst excuse for a chorus EVER.

One I've not yet TRIED at karaoke.
Top up, Sue?
A song so lovely it couldn't even be destroyed by her DISGUSTING delivery of it.
This is a 10/10 song, make no mistake about it. Perfectly crafted
'And oh my gosh I cannot be bothered with this'
<3 Great song.

This is so annoying! I'm so glad Umbrella managed to keep it off the #1 spot.
In other news her sister used to go to Warwick University so it was quite a few people's claim to fame that they'd pulled her sister . . .
It's like you're screaming . . . and no one can hear;
you almost feel ashamed . . . that someone could be that important
Despite the Mockney posturing, this always had a certain resonance. Almost as good as that vile cunt (but not bad musically) Lily Allen's "Smile" from that era.
There was way too much female singer competition for poor old Kate Nash, she should have stuck with the drama student thing as she definitely played a character on this.
This is amazing. And the Lily Allen comparisons were always a bit unfair. There aren't many songs about ropey relationships that admit everyone can be cunty and actually ENJOY IT.
"Do Wah Doo" or however it's spelt is still my favourite though. I'm most upset it just NEVER happened for her![]()
I really liked this at the time, but in retrospect, she was clearly playing dress-up. Now she's trying to be a 21st century riot-grrl, a return to the chavvy posturing would be welcome. I love it, if only for "Rather be wiv your friends mate, cos they are much FITTAH".
