I'm not really sure. But it's based on my income from the previous tax year, which is the hardest bit to get my head round. Although I need it as much now, as I needed it then, so I'm not that bothered. I know it's not actually tax linked.

It will be very useful BASIC LIVING money, which I rarely have...

I've never been able to get Working Tax Credits. Do you have to earn a PENNY or something?

Hmm, apparently I can't get it either The annual pay on my P60 is a bit higher than my actual contracted salary (one's under the threshold and the other puts me just over) - I think it's because of the Saturday morning shifts, which are technically overtime despite being mandatory. OH WELL

For the purposes of tax optimisation (and sunday lunchtimes when I havent come home yet) we hate each other and are not together.
