I'm VERY excited. I ADORED Smilers.
Nice surprise to see that Aimee's got a new album due in September. The title track is available to listen to at Rolling Stone ( link below ). Poppier than usual for Aimee but she always delivers musically and lyrically.

I was just wondering what she was up to the other day. Really like the new song, it feels like a bit of a throw back to her early solo stuff.
album has leaked. WHOOPS.
I really love the first half so far, especially Labrador which is gorgeous. I think the rest needs to grow on me as per usual with Aimee.
i cannot stop listening to Labrador. it's one of the most beautiful songs ever and really reveals itself over times. it's SO SAD.
This is so true - I've was totally underwhelmed by most of her stuff on the first few listens, but once it connected, wow, some of my favourite albums ever. It's not a great era for her to be in if she ever hopes for radio play, if you haven't got an instantly memorable chorus in place after 12 seconds of the song nobody will play you. You've got me excited about this Labrador song.
i still haven't played this but i've been prepping myself with some fucking smilers and the (amazing) forgotten arm
l'm like a dog to get you
^^ Yes, I prep myself for new releases from artists in advance too with some of the back catalogue - glad I'm not the only one who does that!
Title track has a video featuring the wonderful Laura Linney :
Aimee's recent stuff used to be on Spotify didn't it?
Nothing post '95 now![]()
It's a fantastic album. I've been listening to it non-stop since its release. Annoyingly the title track video with Laura Linney can no longer be found on Youtube for some strange reason.
Anyway, great record. Still prefer Smiler at the moment though. Album rate coming soon!
