Shame the song is so tediously by the numbers!
I didn't want to leave this LANGUISHING in the R&B/Hip Hop forum - it is the new pop single off of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and this is a pic from the set of the video![]()

kyoko, it's me
It's already #11 on UK iTunes. Could it be her first #1 there?![]()
I HOPE SO
but I don't get this whole Radio Edit/UK Remix thing, it's exactly the same songwhat are they playing at?
she better wheel out WHIP IT as the next pop single come falland close with Va Va Voom
cat, hat; in French, chat, chapeau in Spanish, el gato in a sombrero.
The first verse is FUCKING AMAZING but after that it kind of tails off for me
FEARLESS FEMALE
have we seen this?
Ladies, NEVER ever wear flesh coloured panties

Do you know, Minaj has TOTALLY PASSED ME BY but I heard "Starships" the other night for the first time ever (I know, I KNOW!) and I love it and this ain't HALF BAD either.
Should I get the album?
It's been too long, it's been too long...
The album is 1/3 trashy pop bangers, 1/3 twinkly midtempos and 1/3 unlistenable hip hop shite. If that helps.
Her first album is LEAGUES BETTER.

But I was the only person in the world who thought "Super Bass" was shit
It's been too long, it's been too long...
This is the song that is getting me INTO Minaj. Love it.![]()
I actually caught myself saying "now this is just NOISE" when I heard it in a taxi the other day.
I may try even harder to make myself like it now, such was my horror at having said that.
The album really is nothing essential in the slightest but the second half is generic Summer dance-pop fun. I'm not sure how she'll sustain such a two-gear career (I can't find many that proclaim their love for the album as a WHOLE, it's usually the hip hop half or the pop half and not both) but "Whip It", "Starships", "Automatic", "Pound the Alarm" are all top notch.

Whip It is my overall fave from the second half I gotta say! Why they didn't go with that one as a single GOD knows, PTA sounds so "nothingy" when both are heard back2back.
jonathan-esque fact: When listening to this song with headphones you can hear an ACTUAL HEART BEAT for the first few seconds.

This has become her best song for me. Always loved it from the moment the album came out, it had to be a summer single. Loved that Jay Leno performance!
Won't somebody out there hear my SOS...
Seriously the worst popstar ever. I don't know how anyone can get on board with that SPASTIC RAP voice. This is terrible too. She's just a ridiculous piece of over/under dressed TAT and the only thing to offer beneath it all is some generic but not even that good tracks that sound like everything else. It's Chris Brown/Pitbull/whoever covered in deceiving sparkles and feathers and that is literally IT
PLEASE LET IT END
Mind you I can tolerate Starships but I can honestly say I'd even prefer Jessie J's hideous screeching/unnecessary attitude over it instead and that's saying a LOT

The "Starships" video did the trashy camp fun thing better but it'll do the trick.
As fun as the video looks I struggle to believe that this is really what she wanted to be doing. She must have lost so many of her original fans to become this white trash
It's like you're screaming . . . and no one can hear;
you almost feel ashamed . . . that someone could be that important
Does she just film videos for whichever tourism authority is currently funding her?
”Go around, we're recreating a faux pas'”
I totally switch off with this song after the admittedly pretty good first verse. Still waiting for the moment when this dumb bitch makes another MASSIVE ATTACK![]()

:MOIRA: NEWS: Visit Scotland offers a few thousand and lifetime supply of Irn Bru to tempt Minaj into filming the "Pound The Alarm" video in Falkirk.Originally Posted by PercyPig
