I suppose after the "darker" sounding pop of Blackout and "Gimme More", "Womanizer" was a natural shift back to the lighter, bubblier Britney we were used to and that sent the message that she was well enough again to compete with the quickly rising Rihannas, Katy Perrys that had since emerged when "Toxic" did serious business nearly 5 years prior. While "Womanizer" isn't the game changer "Toxic", "Slave" or of course BOMT was, it felt FAMILIAR and was enough to at least stage a temporary commercial comeback (a more sustained resurgence was seen on the American charts).
This is not to say "Gimme More", "Piece of Me", "Break the Ice" aren't great records but it was nice that once again Britney was front and center of her own pop record and was WITH US to some capacity unlike in a faraway universe accompanied by hot Danja beats on those aforementioned songs.

I still think 'Womanizer' is a FANTASTIC pop song for what it is. Though perhaps because it's attached to the memory of my first-listen being in America, there was SO much hype around her comeback, it didn't feel entirely dissimilar to when I was out there in 2000 around the time 'Oops...' was released. People were talking about her, she was all over the radio, there was a genuine adoration of her.

The three that aren't "Stronger" are all incredibly amazing but a "Toxic"/"Till the World Ends" final would truly be something else.
Toxic and Til The World Ends are the ones I want OUT.
My ideal final would be the BATTLE OF THE FOUR-WORD TITLES
I've never been as excited about a pop song as I was/still am with "Till the World Ends". And "Toxic" will always be a world class effort and the track that completed her transition into an adult pop star.
But then you can't go wrong with BOMT either so any of the three would make a worthy winner.
