We could really delve deep into her 4 albums deep career if only we had her own forum. The build ups to her albums are quite SOMETHING. I say yes.

Even putting aside my own aversion to her, there is just NOTHING to say. She doesn't even come CLOSE to having the catalogue that the 3 artists listed in the poll do. The new album campaign will be dead in 3 months tops and then it'll just be sat there stinking up the place like Kelly Clarkson did.

If you vote based on your LIKES and DISLIKES, I maybe should NOT have given you my trust in the mod elections in the first place.
She DOES contribute a fair amount of talk to the divas forum, probably the most along with Mariah and I genuinely think she brings MORE or at least AS MUCH potential for discussion as ALL the artist we have specific forums for.

I just said that it was nothing to do with the fact that I hate her. She hasn't had enough successfull material and I don't think the interest is there beyond the core diva posters.

You know what's ridiculous? This forum has TENS (tbc) of members who willingly and proudly identify as being part of a fan community for a certain legendary artiste and all of HER topics need to be consigned to the catch-all Divas forum. Well it's despicable and she deserves better.
I do agree actually, she just doesn't have that wealth of material to generate enough discussion.
Furthermore, perhaps we should wait to see whether the new album campaign lasts more than 5 weeks.

I voted yes. But thinking it over, it may just kill the X-Tina goodwill we have like it did with Rihanna. I mean she does generate numerous gags that the other artist forums do not but I feel like after the first month it would descend into a Kelly Clarkson forum scenario. Not to mention she only releases music once every four years or so, there's only so many "You Lost Me" appreciation threads we can make.

Well the Rihanna forum is pretty dead in the water as is Steps. I think really only Britney, Kylie/Dannii and Madonna need to be kept.
I think the issue of some of the other artists that already have forums is a separate one, but yes, perhaps it needs discussing.
The issue I have with an Aguilera one is that if she gets one, there are other Divas who to me seem equally deserving (off the top of my head I'd say Beyonce and Mariah are the most obvious), and who you could equally justify a forum for when they have a new album out. But take them out of divas and what would be left? It would be a pretty lacklustre forum, I'd have thought.
I think the diva forum as it stands works really well. It's similar to the ESC forum (sorry) in that it has very much its own identity and is something of a moopy subculture. I think threatening that would be something of a shame.
I guess an alternative would be for individual divas having subforums within divas itself, but that changes the structure of moopy a bit, and I don't think that's a good idea really. It would look messy apart from anything else.
Yeah, I mean there has been the odd discussion here and there regarding all the artist forums but it's been 12 or 18 months ago, so maybe that needs some looking into again. Agreed, no to subforums within divas - that would be messy indeed.
