Shuffles ARE designed for running, though- all because they don't have moving hard drives or something, unlike classics etc...
After about a year or so, my ipod shuffle is 'corrupted', all the songs have gone off it and I can't sync any back on. I'm thinking it might be because I used it when running, so are there any that are specifically recommended for this purpose in particular?

It's been too long, it's been too long...
I got a new iPod Classic the other week. I know they have hard drives but it's not like they ever jump and they're still pretty light.
Oh the days when we had a discman in our bags and coats with 30 second shock protection that never worked.
I might just buy another shuffle, then, but I'd rather not have to buy one a year. Plus, having thousands of songs does sound appealing - my motivation to run is totally dependent on the music distracting me.

Have you taken your shuffle to the Apple store?

No. I do have the packaging it came with, so will see what can be done.
