It’s my least favourite of their ballads.

Although I do like the previous live versions where they add some extra ad-libs.

All the same, it’s no ‘Words Are Not Enough’.

Well this was fantastic. You can’t really go wrong with the fizzy pop brilliance of their back catalogue but seeing the show with 12,000 rabid LOONS elevated it to another level. Bit of a shame they left out one of their best singles but they played it later in the Brewers so all was not lost.

Going to one of next years‘s shows now feels like a must :D

P.s. The Vengaboys were awful but the crowd lapped it up. The arena was actually full for their entire set which I’ve not seen before for a support act. It being a Saturday probably helped.

I’m not liking all this non-descript “one of their best singles”, “one of their best album tracks” nonsense.

It’s a Steps concert, not the bloody BAKE OFF RESULT.

Ban Slave forever if he reveals song titles, or even as much as whether or not Faye was in the building please.

Can't believe they did that song with a four word title. PM me for details.

I’m sure you can trot yourself over to Wikipedia if you’re dying to see the set list.

I heard the set list was:

    Lately
    Too Far Gone
Someone Like You (Faye solo version)
    Tragedy
    Electric (encore)

Personally I’d rather they’d done their 3rd, 6th and 14th best singles and the 5th best track from their second best album.

I heard they cover Bee Gees Tragedy. Sorry don't know how to do spoilers.

I heard they cover Bee Gees’ “New York Mining Disaster 1941” (which is inexplicably a real song)

I hope they release it. I don't imagine it will be very popular but a studio version would be great.

    Well.

    That was SOMETHING ELSE.

My first ever chance to see them live (after moving over like 6 months after they stopped the reunion) and fuck me did they bring it and the kitchen sink.

The production was fabulous, one of the best I’ve seen. Outfits and sets were amazing, they looked fab, they sounded great and that setlist was BLISS.

Genuinely one of my favourite nights ever :disco:

My personal highlight was a rather BUBBLY lady near me in devil horns trying to nail the Summer of Love routine and falling flat on her arse with such a thud .

Oh and I liked they actually did 5678

    5678 was surprisingly a highlight!

(Apologies if that’s spoiled it for the more sensitive amongst us)

Well that was fucking brilliant from start to finish- well kind of. They could have cut out “When I Said Goodbye” and “Heartbeat” with no problem and I did miss “Here and Now” but minor, minor gripes. “5678” was fun for the first time ever, the hits were all brilliant and the new songs didn’t feel out of place- especially “Neon Blue” which was the highlight of the night for me.

    Magical.

Neon Blue is really quite brilliant. It made the Brewers go OFF on Saturday night!

Currently looking at dates for next year’s tour. I think Doncaster might be the one.

I'm tempted to make the effort for one of those dates too, but in fairness, I can't be bothered to worry about until the New Year.

"Neon Blue" is exquisite. Although I love the whole album, I think it's the one that's ended up my favourite now, maybe with "I Will Love Again". And THANK THE LORD ABOVE they dragged out the poppers up your chuff glory of the "Story of a Heart" remix :disco: That and that beautifully shite opening line "Across the desert sands, I watch your caravan and dream it can take me to you" had me going OFF :disco:

Lisa was a wailing treat from start to finish. Her nocals were shown up hilariously by some of the mimed choruses. I'm also quite surprised they left Lee's mic turned on...

I actually thought LSL sounded decent. Better than she used to on the old performances.

I was several drinks in though so that may have helped.

Lisa sounded perfectly fine to me too. Claire turning on that FOGHORN at every given turn was really something special though!

Tickets for for Cheltenham have just been booked.

I'm so excited for the Glasgow date next Thursday! There's also a We Love Pop aftershow happening, but it's really for @monsta to give details on THAT little event rather than me :disco:

    :D

I’ve honestly been in utter shock for the past 48 hours.

We’ve only went and bagged LISA SCOTT LEE for a guest DJ spot.

    I’m the definition of AGOG.
