The Weeknd not getting nominated for song, record or album of the year has to be the biggest shock snub in years. I thought he'd sweep.

    Pleasantly surprised for Dua!

Yeah this is such a kick in the teeth for him.

Also, can they please stop shoehorning Beyonce into everything? It's becoming really obvious that they favor her.

Surely it's the label that submits whatever for whichever category anyway

I think Harry was snubbed by not being nominated in the main album category, but I’ll take DUA and TAYLOR.

Watermelon Sugar missing song and record of the year is definitely a major snub for Harry. I'm sure they campaigned hard too because his team is ON IT.

Pleased that Old Flowers by Courtney Marie Andrews has landed her her first nomination for Americana Album. I guess I ought to listen to the other nominees in the name of fairness, though.

I try to be open minded these days and less judgemental but Post Malone, Roddy Ricch and DaBaby? Oh fuck off please.

And poor Justin :D his label will have some submitted the categories and correctly assumed he stood more chance in the pop genre. He’s lucky to be mentioned at all, that last album was beyond shite (and it wasn’t R&B either)

here's the opening verse of a song nominated for record of the year.

i'm the hood mona lisa, break a nigga into pieces
had to x some cheesy niggas out my circle like a pizza (yeah)
i'm way too exclusive, i don't shop on insta' boutiques
all them lil' ass clothes only fit fake booties
bad bitch, still talking cash shit
pussy like water, I'm unbothered and relaxing
i would never trip on a nigga if i had him
bitch, that's my trash, you the maid, so you bagged him, ah

The Grammys have shot themselves in the foot with The Weeknd snub. It's the main story amongst all these nominations, and I'd wager than any artist who does pick up album, song or record of the year on the night is gonna be giving him a shout out in their acceptance speech. It's just too glaring an omission. And is apparently only because he can't perform at the ceremony due to Superbowl commitments that week. They look quite unprofessional after this.

Weeknd was a notable omission, but celebrities moaning about award show snubs... especially the Grammy's which are known to be very political and pandering, is my least favorite attribute. His album was solid but by no means a career peak anyway. 2016 aside, he has never really been a Grammy's darling either.
