I'm literally CRYING watching Nighty Night/Human Remains outtakes.

I noted that some people were disappointed by the short series she did with Jessica Hynes but I really liked the pilot - haven't gotten round to the rest of the series.

I can't watch Gavin & Stacey despite the wonderful supporting cast because the leads all do my head in.

What else has this woman done? What a NATIONAL TREASURE. I need more Julia Davis comedies please.

She is WONDERFUL. Her new show "Hunderby" is very good too.

Did you see her on Alan Carr Chatty Man? She never does chat shows and you can SEE WHY. :D

I thought she looked really different on Chatty Man. Softer in the face

But yeah love her and adore Nighty Night.

There is no rest of the series!

I adore this woman. The one regret I have about moving is that we are no longer neighbours.

My favourite moments of hers are Human Remains Episode 3 where she's the gormless thick-glasses woman (best thing ever) and this

Glad you like the Human Remains episode dUb. It's fucking HILARIOUS

So they didn't make more than 1 episode of Lizzie & Sarah then? That's a SHAME :(

The BEST episode of Human Remains is the B&B couple. Fabulously dark.

Julia is my absolute idol and were I to have those tendencies I would DEFINETLY stalk her

The B&B episode is also INCREDIBLE, and there are some amazing outtakes for that as well. I don't know how they ever finished anything. Her and Brydon are wonderful improvisers and they must have just LAUGHED their way through the entire recording.

Gutted. I'd've had her down as Waitrose lass.

Nighty Night is without a doubt my favourite TV series EVER.

Yes series 2 was a bit PATCHY but fuck me the writing throughout is just incredible.

I was able to reassess Nighty Night recently. Series one is INFINITELY BETTER, but series two held up a bit better than I remembered. There was a lot more GROSS OUT humour, whereas I enjoyed series one for doing that very dark middle England thing SO WELL.

Series 2 was just TOO MUCH

But it did have some amazing individual scenes. Her stealing the African woman's identity was a highlight.

Some of the deleted salon-based scenes in Series 1 of 'Nighty Night' are just fabulous, particularly 'Mr Fussell' and 'Lucky Dipper'. Who the FUCK decided to delete them? (I would post a link but lazy arses haven't bothered to bung them onto YouTube :grr:)

    HAVE YOU CAUGHT ME?

The only other thing I've ever seen her in is Four Lions (which was awful).

I'll get round to watching Nighty Night one day.

Overall Series 2 of Nighty Night was pretty shite and one of the biggest falls from grace I can remember. Love her generally though.

I tried one episode of Hunderby and had to switch off, it made no sense.

'Spindalerro' in Human Remains is easily the best character. Everytime I hear R. Kelly Bump N Grind I remember that episode. Nighty Night (both series) is in my top five TV shows of all time. Series 2 was not as good but still had a shit load of amazing scenes. Jill 'dying' over and over and mumbling on about seeing Princess Diana and Gordon in heaven, parking up at the dinner table in an electric wheelchair and claiming Bruce raped her, holding a workout to M People's Movin' On Up outside the centre with moves such as 'rolling the sausage' and 'papa's doing something that he shouldn't on the lawn'.

I loved both seasons of Nighty Night as well, but I did watch them altogether. I didn't think it dipped at all.

REALLY? If ever there was a 'jump the shark' moment it was the 'dinner in the vagina' moment for me. I enjoyed it, but it went from clever, sordid and dark to dark and just full of gross out gags.

There was a dip from seasons one to two, but I still find the second very much fun, if a bit (okay, VERY) try hard in places.

It's worth sticking with Hunderby. It gets better from the end of the second episode on.

Series 2 of Nighty Night definitely had far too much Glen Bulb; the least interesting and most irritating character by FAR. I've had an intense aversion to Mark Gatiss ever since*. But the character development of Cath (thoroughly doomed attempts at flirting and being more assertive), that fabulous scene in Mumbles and Rebecca Front's acting were an ABSOLUTE JOY

*Apart from in 'Fear Of Fanny' because I fucking loved that

Did anyone else see the pilot of 'Bad Sugar' on Channel Four earlier in the year? Not sure what to make of it.

Just doing my twice yearly catch up on old Jam sketches. I love this one more than anything:

Having just been reminded of the superlative 'Human Remains' via Doodvid's rate of Sharla, I'd like to say that 'More Than Happy' is truly harrowing and therefore one of my FAVOURITE THINGS EVER

None of your BOGELS AND WHATNOT. This isn't LONDON

Julia Davis is suspiciously quiet during the commentary. I rather suspect she knows that catatonic state ALL TOO WELL
