We should probably have a big thread for this, I'm sure it'll be massive.

I've only listened to a few songs from the soundtrack so far because I don't want to spoil it for when I eventually drag my rapidly decomposing, unemployed body to the cinema to see the film, but Is That Alright? is probably my favourite ballad of her entire career.

This one seems to be very popular and will no doubt get a push.

My favourite of the ballads is also Is That Alright? but it's not featured much in the film.

Of the Ally songs, I'm really loving Heal Me, Before I Cry and Look What I Found. The way she's using her voice (lots of foray into falsetto, she sounds very 90s Mariah at times) is incredible.

And of the country stuff with Bradley, Diggin My Grave is kinda :disco:

The soundtrack as a whole is just excellent.

Opening song was the best of the whole film and it was mostly downhill from there song wise.

Just had my first run- through and I can't say I was blown away by anything, but I imagine the film (which I'm seeing Friday) will make it gel...

This debuts at #1 in the US with 230k sold (160k pure sales) :disco: Shallow is #1 in Ireland and Switzerland and should be UK top 3 this week

I remain utterly obsessed with Always Remember Us This Way. Very much THE ONE for me from the soundtrack.

I'm amazed how big Shallow remains - it's still #5 on iTunes globally, after nearly eight months. And it spent five of those months at #1.

So Lady Gaga is hated in here? Or just Lady Gaga doing anything other than dance pop? Is it THAT kind of place?

Oh no darling. Most of us love Gaga. Just a few MISERABLE GITS are the exception to the rule.

I think the other mega-ballad ‘Is That Alright’ was a bit wasted tbh, it screams wedding song for the ages for straight people and a certain type of gay.

And Shallow is absolutely an all-time classic by now.

Probably the song from her discography as-yet that is most likely to still be listened to and covered in 100 years time (providing global warming hasn’t DROWNED US ALL)

THIS. There is possibly a bit too much mention of death to be a good wedding song though. But it is SO romantic

Are there any other good (Gaga) songs on the soundtrack? I’ve never bothered to listen past the big 3 and Is That Alright (+ the comedy Ally solo tracks when intoxicated :disco: )

The amount of bad (apparently amazing to some) busker covers I've been subjected to (either when walking through town or scrolling through my FB feed) has made me dislike this song.

I love Heal Me. Look What I Found is good too. And are you counting Always Remember Us This Way in the big 3?

I hate that she never performed ARUTW live on any TV show. Shallow is obviously great, but that song is the TRUE GEM of the soundtrack for me.
