Several fucks out of 10.
Like ten thousand fucks when all you need is a fuck. Alanis is on a roll.
In the words of Keish, where do we go from here? Seriously, surely she's peaked here.
Uh hu, Her.
This stream of Alanis unconscious is quite something.
Nemesis. What a grand atmospheric moment this already is.
No one does gut wrenching splendour like Lanis.
If suicidal murmurs and gallant melancholy are your thing, Alanis has burst the pinata for you here.
Armies have just marched over me here.
WHO is she? Who IS she? Who is SHE?

This has quickly burst its bombs beautifully.
The album is a proverbial giant piece of life hitting the fan and the most beauty I've experienced from Alanis since she flashed her moose in the Thank U video. The suffering, the relief, what an album. Worth the wait.
I'm still so satisfied and utterly beguiled by this album. A covid cushion if ever I needed one.
It grew on me after a few listens too.
