i didn’t really give Testament a proper listen, bar the singles which I love. From the ratings I really need to give it another go

 

Footprints feels a BIT low key, but again it's doing a lot of fun switching up with the production that I'm appreciating.

 

Footprints is lovely. Fuzzy. I think I used that word for Pieces too. Shaznay obviously likes to write and ending this way.

It's a very strong album. It just doesn't quite have the 11's and 12's that Red Flag has.

 

I don't rate if I can help it these days, I find it quite stressful

 

I like Footprints too

I liked both albums (Red Flag more), and they will both need more listens. They were both more varied than I expected (in a good way)

 

I loved that! I can't believe I never bothered with this album before after loving Red Flag, I really am an ugly flop sometimes. Thank you @Tisch and also @Iguana during the bog break and @RJN too of course

I tend to overthink and thus it is not fun

 

I am not great at ranking because I end up giving everything 6 or above. 2-5 feel so harsh but using all the numbers would make it more meaningful

I will relisten to both during work tomorrow morning. I remember having a lot of time for both albums at the time but I'm not sure I've played them in the last 2 years at ALL.

Listening to Red Flag and forgot how good some of the album tracks are as obviously “One Strike” and “This Is a War” are 11s

Fear is gorgeous. STOP i’m not readyyyy.
I’m still not sure what I think about Rachet Behaviour, I mean it is awful but also oddly compelling

 

Testament isn’t very good, sorry queens

 

Iguana not scoring After All a 10. we really do hate to see it.

 

I gave it another go and most of it just washed over me.
“After all” is obviously brilliant though

 

After All is up there with their very best!

See I don’t count a 7 as mediocre! I think I just rate differently than everyone else

I mean I’m howling at @Tisch who gave Testament 5 tens and said “it’s a strong album” ... I give Ray Of Light 5 tens and that’s the best album of all time!

I’m so mean. Is this why I’m single?

I cba to get into a whole RATINGS discussion again, but I think I rate the songs compared the songs that surround them, and how I'm feeling in a particular moment. I agree that giving something a 06 is a sign of mediocrity, compared to giving a song a 04 or 03 which is getting into active disliking territory.

 

The moopy rule in my ancient days was that only one song could be given an 11
