    I hope this leads to a wave of classic Hollywood remakes. I know not all of them would have an audience NOW but can you imagine how amazing a 2017 "Beyond the Forest" would be?

    Although, speaking of Cate Blanchett, there is some similarity between Blue Jasmine and Jezebel.

    I wonder if Cate has learned how to say Bette's name properly by now. She went for the Midler option last time, but is quite the fan though.

    Finally saw this recently, loved it.

    Fine acting and amazing storyline. On a whole, a masterpiece.

    I believe "Bet" is indeed the correct pronunciation for her name. Her mother gave her the French name, but the agents and directors told her to use "Betty" because it sounded better.

    Beyond perfection!

    I went to see the recent West End version and it was dreadful. Gillian gave it her best, but Lily James was like an amateur that had been shoved onto the stage at the last second. She was DIRE.

    This movie is a fabulous example of the importance of a great script. It just HOOKS you. Not one single sentence is thrown away.
