This should make for an interesting topic... some I can remember from memory:

Berlin - "Take My Breath Away"
Donna Summer - "I Don't Wanna Get Hurt"
    Dionne Warwick - "Heartbreaker"
Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders) - "Brass In Pocket"
    Destiny's Child - "Bootylicious"
Mariah Carey - "Someday" and "I Don't Wanna Cry"

She can't hate it that much if she performed it at the "Le Folies Tour" too... though it's probably because of the fact that it's been the fan favourite of the X album (other than "In My Arms" and "Like A Drug").

Doesn't Madonna hate 'True Blue' (the song)? Or is that just some loon BS I picked up along the way.

I really quite like What Kind Of Fool, but you can understanding Kylie disliking it. It was a big backwards step for her. Mind you, Celebration was worse.

I've heard that before too. I think she also dislikes 'Into the groove'.

Can people include STORIES/EXAMPLES to back these claims up please?

I knew Nicola, Cher and Dionne. Didn't know Destiny's Child hated Bootylicious.

Isn't Kylie stupidly fond of Celebration? I think because it was one of her first opportunities to really sing, or something. She certainly likes to WHEEL IT OUT.

Sandie Shaw hates Puppet on a String and during the 70s and 80s would walk out of interviews if it was ever brought up. :D

    Lulu also hated Boom Bang-A-Bang.

Whats the story with Cher? I tried to Google "Cher doesn't like her own music" and was presented with three pages of hits about Cher Lloyd

To be fair, Cher's music has covered so many genres it'd be a miracle if she liked all of it.

Mainly down to the fact that she is extremely self-critical, rather than not being invested in her own music, but Kate Bush has said that certain songs from her first two albums, particularly Oh England My Lionheart "Make me want to die".

Brandy hated her most recent album, didn't she? Possibly just because it bombed though.

I like the idea that Topshop plays Bootylicious on a regular basis, or indeed AT ALL.

Surprisingly Madonna hates quite a lot of her material:

If Madonna thinks any of the songs she mentions there are any more stupid than "I Love New York" then she SHOULD feel retarded.

Madonna doesn't seem to be at the stage where she can perform songs like the ones she indentified as an entertainer, without attaching how SHE feels as a 53 year old in doing so (because I can kind of see why she might feel a bit self-conscious about singing a tweeny pop song, but it makes perfect sense to the audience that grew up with her, and the new fans who love her old material). It's like the moment Kylie stopped fannying around with the arrangements of her songs and just started performing them pretty much as they were when she recorded them and enjoying them for what they are without an obvious sense of irony.

OMG, finally somebody else who doesn't get what's so special about Into The Groove, and it's the OLD BAGGAGE herself!

Fucking around with the arrangements really GETS MY GOAT but it was something that the production team on Britney's last tour felt COMPELLED to do to EVERY SONG that she had released prior to 2009.

In theory, yet the lyrics she is writing now are far more puerile.

Well yes, quite where she sees herself now is another matter. It's hard to imagine that 'Hard Candy' wasn't even the slightest bit tongue-in-cheek, but at the same time it's Madonna so of course it wasn't
