Alas not, but I did have a particularly satisfying dream about my current object of lust last night, and I have had a coupleofdrinksandomghahaha, which might explain why I'm feeling it.

In other news good old JUDAS sounds like a 10 tonight, and no mistake. Perhaps I have drunk too much.

You're reminding me of those supposed hardcore loons at the Popjustice first listen party who were declaring that they couldn't possibly be expected to listen to the album end to end but were instead going to jump to their (expected) favourite tracks based on TRACK TITLES and TWITTER BUZZ alone!

So I've been listening to this a lot (this as in only the 9 tracks I kept) and it's definitely better than Bangerz, at least for me :( :( SORRY LOUF

Why are you apologising? ARTPOP and BANGERZ are both fantastic.

Too right. And add Salute to the mix and we're really talking Q4 POP HEAVEN.

If Mimi brings it (and she will) I think we may well be heading for a POPACOPALYPSE!

They both are, but like I stated in the other thread, for an album to have a name like BANGERZ does it had far too many slow/midtempo songs.

It's like having Mariah release an album called Heartfelt Ballads only to find out it's full of wall to wall Heartbreaker/Honey/Fantasy kind of songs (Not that I would be disappointed MIND)

I kinda like that BANGERZ is full of moody downtempos. It means that you can spend a few hours going off to ARTPOP and know you have BANGERZ ready when the pace slows.

    Art. (pictured)

I thought I'd join in with this cool new reviewing trend in an effort to remind people I'm still as relevant and memorable as ever (omg like Gaga lolz). Bring on the art! And fun! And cravings for validation!

    02 Aura
07/genuinely unrateable Venus - This still makes me piss myself. "*random bollocks*... VENUS". But great for comedy value. The clown is the most profound of all artist├ęs.
06 G.U.Y. - I like the slinky bits at the start but it all descends into hard rock and smashing plates and screaming.
    08 Sexxx Dreams
04 Jewels n' Drugs - Essentially Miley but letting the black people behind her say stuff. Unadvisedly. But I like the shimmery production when they finish rapping unintelligibly, as I am positive.
    06 Manicure
    08 Do What U Want
08 ARTPOP - Quite like the nuanced disco touches in the background. Is this art? Or is it just a song about art? I like that she's finally stopped growling on this one, her vocals have been a bit like painting with the wrong type of brush at times. (oh shit, art. ART!)
    03 Swine
    07 Donatella
09 Fashion! - This is refreshingly great, sounds really different to most of the other tracks. Kind of Daft Punk if they could fit coke up those masks.
    05 Mary Jane Holland
    00 Dope
08 Gypsy - Summery, if a bit repetitive of what's come before. Makes me wish it was pared down a little. But I enjoy how evocative and 80s it sounds. Did they have art in the Eighties? I'm imagining a video hitch-hiking in the desert.
07 Applause - A paean to unabashed attention whoring. We are kindred spirits. Oh fuck, MugARTu. Claiming that. Trademarked.

The only paring "Gypsy" needs is up and not down - though that would probably rupture the very fabric of space and time!

I'm loathe to suppress ART (or just even singing random generalisations about art, to be honest :D) but I was getting fatigued with all of the heavy production on the album at that point.

As a single track, yeah, it's great, and I look forward to its release and blockbuster video. (not as in the shop, if that's even still a thing)

I'd love a mash-up of Kylie's In My Arms with Sexxx Dreams. Both are so uber cute.

I just had a moment of clarity in which it struck me that I'm an actual Gaga loon now. Like Sugababes levels of loondom, perhaps even beyond. She really is the greatest thing to happen to pop music since Kylie's gay diva reinvention.

    It's a G.U.Y. frenzy chez moi today.

Oh yes, it's quite clearly the 3rd best song on this album! And yes please let's have a single release soon.

Love me love please RETWEAT :disco:
