I think I liked the name more. Perrellistan just isn't quite as grand, and choosing Mitt Liv as the anthem...
The reaction to mine was QUITE GOOD, so I just have to hope all the basic bitch songs don't grow on the basic bitches too much before they vote.
The run from Kyla to Lennon (with the exception of that Johnny R U Queer one) is actually really good. I see VV is up next, and I'm expecting shit things.
I've liked every VV Brown song I've ever heard (Shark in the Water and this one). She's the voice of our generation and I want nothing more to do with you monsters for defaming her.
I think I might have a bit of a deep dive into her back catalogue. I can't believe I was peer pressured into slagging her off when she's our greatest living artist.
I think it's the almost END OF TIMES DESPAIR, that the queens I named, project at pop songs that GETS ME.
I wonder what I can tick off my ASFM bingo card this time. @Indie opening the show @Diddy entering a song by an Asian artist @Rita sending some basic banger (finishes 32nd) @HerSereneHighnessAnniFrid and @Suomi finishing in the top two The Moopy couples suspiciously swapping high points @RaspberrySwirl not liking any song
I've listened to the ones I missed and I feel people may have mis-sold the quality of them - I actually LIKED them all apart from two. Within a couple of days I think I'll be struggling to whittle this down to just 15 songs.
Johnny R U Queer I wasn't keen on (although a couple more listens might convert me), and Mad as Hell just sort of washed over me.
