I love this basic POP BANGER.
She really is going FULL THROTTLE with the Gaga cosplay now that this is ACTUALLY produced by RedOne.
That being said this is her best song.
The chorus is based on You Give Love A Bad Name, right?
Bonnie Tyler's If you were a woman
Well they’re pretty much exactly the same so...
I know, but why aren't you using the female one?
I think I’ll stick with the Ankie Bagger version thanks very much
I feel like Ava's version is more CRISP.
what a woman. According to wiki this is the official second single from her STILL TBA debut album!
Salt, Torn, So Am I ERASED from history. She's a one woman PrettyGood
I could have sworn she had an album.
I’m surprised they never banged one out alongside So Am I.
I like Torn and Salt rather more than this. It is a lot but a bit empty sounding at the same time.
I can't believe this certified Gaga Tribute Act is going ahead with releasing her album whilst Gags will keep us perched and hanging by a THREAD. The Lord gives and takes away indeed.
I know 2020 has been tomfoolery so far and we might not make it eventually, but I'm glad this will be the last video I'll EVER see.
oh and I can't believe this wasn't credited instead
Climbs 71-45 this week, her first charting single since So Am I last year.
It is VERY basic, but I'm 100% in favour of this kind of pop having a resurgence.
This sort of sounds like ABBA..?
Interesting that Salt is doing well in Europe, and this is gaining traction in the UK.
In years past she would have been a total on-hit wonder, but I guess in the world today of spotify/instagram it’s so much EASIER and probably cost effective to keep trying with somebody if they already have something of a profile/following and decent monthly streaming figures. Something is gonna stick EVENTUALLY.
It's basically this:
as well as the Smash Bros. song from above.
don't most of her songs sound the same? You can basically sing Salt over this and Sweet but Psycho
I mean, she might as well keep releasing music since Gaga sure ISN'T.
Her streaming numbers are pretty impressive (relatively) for someone that seems to struggle to chart. I think she is quite big in the German speaking and Scandinavian countries?
Surprised this has taken off a bit in the UK - I don’t see it in the spotify top 200 at all.
#80 for the week in streaming and I see it is #35 on google music, so looks like she is doing ok outside of spotify.
Never mind, she entered the top 200 earlier this week, and is up to #165 today so hopefully makes some inroads there. I’d love this to go top 40 on the actual chart.
Finally cracks the top 40 this week.
Chart run so far: 90-96-71-45-41-42-39
It's quite nice that there's more of a chance at development (paging VV Brown) these days, although with an artiste this endearingly basic the only growth we should expect is when she grows out that wonky haircut.
A good bet for Christmas #1 at this rate
Can't wait for Salt to TAKE OVER. Of course stupid contrarian UK locals who couldn't even make Truth Hurts a smash choose this instead.
still her best song btw
33 now. Ava UP
New peak on Spotify today of #73. I forget how the charts work, but does it head to ACR soon, even if sales/streams have increased?
#24 in midweeks now, would be a triumph for this to make the top 20.
Up to #25 this week.
A delicious little slow burner so far. It finally entered the Spotify top 50 yesterday for the first time and then today it has jumped up 8 spots to #41, plus has returned to the iTunes top ten. Given it is no longer on the radio 2 playlist and getting minimal radio and tv play elsewhere to not only have legs but now to be getting another wind is amazing.
If only it was for a better song, like (European top 10 smasha) Salt!
Whatever happened to that one? It was supposedly doing better and it was on a ton of "hit" playlists (Along w/Kings and Queens) and as of yesterday it was wiped off and found only a couple of lists but with Kings and Queen only. Personally I liked Salt more and would have hit harder with a video.
Yeah I'm surprised they didn't bother with a video after it hit the top ten in Germany. Perhaps now that K&Q has turned into a pretty decent European hit they may film one and try it for the UK?
How has this taken 3 months to register on people's radars?!
We've had other things on our mind
I mean... I'm just not ok with this.
Her record co. are being weird. Just when she's about to have a legitimate hit, they push the album back expecting more buzz
The first time I heard it I sent it to all my friends.
