In the continuing theme of this being the Xmas #1, it finally hits the top ten on US pop radio, and is predicted to climb to #29 on the Hot 100 this week. It's also the longest running female track on the UK chart for 2020 (31 weeks, 6 weeks ahead of the second). NOT BAD
It's finally now in the top 200 on Apple music and has been for the last week or so. Wonder if lightning will strike twice again and it will very slowly worm its way up?
I'd give it time. It's slowly working its way up toward the top 50 of German Spotify having already entered the top 3 on airplay there. It's about to hit 50m streams. A queen takes her time!
the success of a song at US radio seems to largely be driven by audience callout scores for some bizarre reason - and on that metric Kings & Queens is slaying TOP 40, ALL AGE GROUPS Pop Score: #7 Potential: #2 Positive Score: #1 Net Positive: #1 Net positive #1, ie. the most universally liked song by audiences on top 40 radio right now
Could it be that in an era of boring Ariana Grande albums, America (and the world) is actually crying out for some DECENT POP?
*cackle* I had added this to my iTunes but something really bugs me about this song. I think it’s the “pop champagne” line but I don’t know why
Fabulous It is weird it's #3 on pop radio and still gaining strong, and #3 on iTunes. Yet not top 200 on either Apple or Spotify. Some songs are more suited to various formats, but you'd think having such high airplay and sales would have some people streaming it!
If only top 3 on itunes and airplay could get you a top 20 hit in the UK. As the likes of Kylie and Steps have seen you can have an itunes number 1, be all over radio 2 and still struggle to scrape even the top 40.
Apparently a new song in the next week or two from a re-release. It's only been out like 7 weeks! A bit un-necessary.
doing what hun? it got a video and a big NMF push. it just so happens that Europe seems more into Who's Laughing Now and OMG What's Happening. Naked is the classic "fan favourite that isn't what the GP want" track that'll never take off
Naked got a video but it never got an official release let alone a push! If only they started now it could be a hit by June next year.
I think Take You To Hell could be a hit and it kind of follows in the theme of Sweet But Psycho Also everything about what has been a hit so far seems random so who knows
#2 on pop radio now and expected to be #12 on the Hot 100 this week Shame streaming is dead or this could've been a top 5 hit.
her next single is called Emotions and features a prominent melodic sample of ABBA's Lay All Your Love On Me
